Faces in the clouds.
« on: October 26, 2013, 04:05:55 am »
Well I did the annual holiday thing, and believe me when I say "it was good to be away from work for a while"  :laugh2:  Whilst there I Did a few things I have never done before.
I went on a balloon ride, I stepped off a 70 ft tower into thin air.  I fed a giraffe.  And I got a few good photos  :laugh2:

In the mean time here are the faces in the clouds. Along with assorted others.

Not quite a bungie jump.  It was an assisted drop tower, you get hooked up to a harness, when you step out it grabs and lowers you down to the ground.  In the instructions he tells you to just step off the edge,  easier said then done I can tell you.  Everything in your body wants to jump, my knees go into jump mode twice before I finally got the command to just step out from my brain to my legs :laugh2:  Just skip to about 50 seconds in.

I'm particularly happy with the panoramic image.  Here is another one that didn't go to plan,  I think the guy with the pushchair moved at the same speed I was moving. It was either that or a glitch in the Matrix  :laugh2:  I really like the random foot

Finally we have me doing the Tower of Terror ride.  I should be easy enough to spot in the back row  :laugh2: & Me and the missus having Drunk our way round the world.  Man that was a lot of Drink

Thanks as I said before I was particularly happy with that shot. Whilst I was taking it my wife was busy doing her good deed for the day when some guy was cycling over a bridge and dropped his wallet, she actually ran after him shouting, My wife doesn't normally run for anything  :laugh2:

Out of the 5 Felix machines only 2 played well.  I'm not sure about the beat up look on them though.  Its been quite tastefully done what with cigarette burns, Screws in tmolding and various other effects you would expect to see on 20Yrs old machines.  But I don't really like the beat up look myself.  I gotta say that whilst there is a fair choice of machines in Disney Quest they need more people looking after them.  Pretty much every other game I played needed some kind of work.

Mind you I went on holiday to ride the coasters rather then play video games  >:D  Here are my 2 faves, Cheetah hunt and Hulk.

Fix it Felix really isn't that fun.  There is one on location in my area and I spent a ton of time on it recently.  It's even on freeplay.  The level never changes, it just tweaks the danger a bit, and if the stick has any Nintendo-itis the game is artificially difficult.
