Hello all.....I am very frustrated after trying multiple fixes to get over this issue. Basically my xbox 360 controllers have serious lag when turning on the system (about 1 min 30 seconds of blinking until the system actually turns on) where with a controller being wired it is instant....Initially I thought my rechargeable batteries may have become conditioned and were no longer holding a charge.....replaced them and still the same issue. This issue happens across the board with all 3 of the controllers I have so it is not one battery pack or an isolated controller. I turned off my vibrate function and today I even used xbox assistance via chat....they suggested i clear my cache which I did and the issue is still happening. I am out of ideas and this is seriously annoying....the seating range has not changed....the controllers were working fine before as was my console....here are the only few things that have changed.....maybe affecting my system...
(My system is on a A/V rack among other gaming systems, blu-ray player etc all of which did not affect my signal before....the newly changed items are...)
1. Old directv box was recently switched out for a directv genie which has network functions for multi-room DVR.....and a wired internet junction was installed....to my knowledge this is a wired system and not wireless)
2. Installed a microsoft brand xbox 360 wireless adapter for xbox live (plugs and mounts to the back of the 360 via USB and clips) This works via wireless signal and seems to be fine.....to use this my 360 prompted me to update so I could use the live features and I believe the dashboard may have been installed as well.
My system is modded and works with all current games....(latest update as far as I know and burned games still work properly)
Basically the controllers blink and seem to have issues connecting or turning the system on initially and the system will come on after a long delay. Both of my controllers are fully charged.....but at random times during gameplay the system will prompt you to reconnect your controller.....keep in mind batteries are full....the controller will blink for a while and then it will let you keep playing (or if i plug it in to be wired it lets me do this as well) It seems to me that it is not the controllers since I have 3 different ones, new batteries etc.....it seems to be struggling to connect with the console but then stabilizes....so it sounds like interference or maybe a mechanism inside the xbox is weak or damaged. I've tested as much as I can and I am out of options.....anyone who knows more than me please help.....sorry for the long description I just wanted to rule out any suggestions that I have already tried...and to list the changing factors in my setup to see if anyone knows more than me. Thanks guys.....
