It's not so much that we think you live in Igloos, but rather somebody told us once that it was cold up there and we can't be bothered to check. I mean who intentionally visits Canada?
Reading this reminded me of a trip we took from Toronto down to Pennsylvania way back in the late 80s...
We'd drive down from Toronto to "New Milford, Pennsylvania" to go to "Wolf's Lair" to play paintball. On long weekends they'd take Canadian dollars on par. We'd bring a case or two of beer along with us, and we'd play "CA vs US" all weekend long. Met some great guys down there.
However, one year on our trip down, we were crossing the border on the way home and the guy in the lane next to us had two sets of
skis on the roof of his car. Things were backed up (Monday afternoon, after the long weekend) and we started chatting w/him and his wife.
"Where are you headed?" we asked.
"Toronto", he replied.
"With skis?", we puzzled.
"Yeah, we're coming up from Buffalo for a few days. Looked cold this week so we figured we'd get some skiing in."
If I hadn't been there and witnessed the conversation myself, I wouldn't have believed it.
