my only problem with IM3 was the length and excessive "jokes". it was at least half hour too long. I didn't mind the twist at all.

Man of Steel put a new look to Superman but I am not sure where I would slot it in as it is starting from scratch with alot more background about his origin.

Finally got to see This is the End.
Hilarious, especially if you're a long time fan of all the people involved. Plenty of references to their body of work, including a ton of self-deprecating jokes.

Well the man of steel started good but I fear it slots into the avenger genre.

I won't give any spoilers, but I did feel very depressed as the film went on.

It just reminded me of 9/11.

The trailers for woverine and that robot monster flick is more of the same.

Very depressing.

It's an atrocity against a very good book. I was very disappointed in how they played it out.

Ok, first, apologies for bumping this aging thread.
But a quick search of the board gave me this thread as the best match to critique a movie mentioned in it.
I just watched "Oblivion" on DVD and all I can really say is thank God I didnt pay the movie price to see it in the theater.
It started out slow and stayed that way for a long time.
I was thinking, is it a rip of "Total Recall"?
Or is it a "Terminator" rip?
Then I caught myself saying "Huh?"
It had a few good moments, but I found it lacked in the story department.
When oh when are we going to get a good run of decent movies???
