Friend's pinball setup
« on: April 10, 2013, 05:51:19 am »
The gentleman that I am constructing the 4-Player Cabinet for has this in his living room.

There  are more in the other room as well.

My favorite is the After-market modified Tron, the Lord of the Rings and Jurassic Park machines.

Thought you guys might find it mildly interesting.

Also, they are all soooo shinny! And have some awesome aftermarket stuff on them. New tron bikes, leds in places where there was none. The Spiderman has buildings on the sides of the playfield that wasn't there.

Pretty neat I think. It sucks though cause now I want a bunch of dedicated pins now. Shite!

Talk him out of a 4-player cab. His friends will be too busy with those awesome pins to be bothered crowding around a wooden box for some Gauntlet.

Just kidding, but I am insanely jealous.

Haha, he loves arcade machines as well but no room cause of the pins. One spot available for the MAME cabinet.

I met one of his pinball buddies, well it is more his arcade buddy. I am going to go check out his warehouse, he said he has something like 250 - 300 original arcade cabinets.

Let's be honest.  This guy has more money that he knows what to do with.  Lots of disposable income.  He could have bought any crazy ass MAME cab out there but he went with our man Cory.  Why you ask?  Was it is fair prices?  Quick turn around time?  Ever increasing technical know how?  Zippy data plates?  NO!  No I say.  This connesieur had it on good authority that our man was the most original avant garde blow your mind designer out there.  This man made his decision on one epic build.  One build that will go down in history as THE ONE that started Cory off on the road to fame.

If this is in California then I know your friend.  I have been to his warehouse.  You are going to sh*t when you see that place.

Yes California, my guess is here in Sacramento. Or probably a little outside Sacramento.

Now I am even more curious.....

I know your friend

Does he have long hair?

Edit: In fact, is this him? Crappy picture but if you met him before you should be able to tell. Second gentleman.

-also, that is a zombie board game  & lots of fun-

Yep.

He's got some games that are still in the box they were shipped in from the 80's.  Your jaw is literally going to be on the floor the entire time.  Great guy to boot.
