I have a 25" high rez (640x480) arcade monitor, fed by an ArcadeVGA. Been working great for years, monitor was bought new maybe 8 years ago.

I took the monitor out to move the cabinet today. Pretty sure I didn't break anything, no accidents or weirdness. Moved cab into garage from house, put monitor back in, hooked everything back up, and got this for a picture:

(I call the lines horizontal since they normally would be, obviously vertical on my rotated monitor.)

If I mess with the H.hold all the way I can get some vaguely clearer images, but still crazy illegible. No other control changes it. I feel like this happened when I moved it once before, but damned if I can remember how I fixed it. Anyone have any clues?

Thanks!

almost looks like the Video Synch isn't connected.. I would check those connections (solder joints) on that. I am sure the monitor guru's will be along any minute now to give you better feedback, but I recall mine looking like that:

turned out to be the synch connection (white wire) not being solidly connected.

I can get a pic of the underside of the monitor, and while I'm there I'll see if anything obvious look disconnected. :)

Fixed it. It was indeed a loose connection. The simple fixes are my favorite, even if you feel dumb after finding it hours later. ;)
