Future Pinball DMD not working

I have a single screen 1920x1080 Future Pinball setup. When I use the 'arcaderenderer' mode, The DMD does not show anything. For example, I tried the Ironman table and positioned the table to match my display. On the top left corner a DMD is shown (which I can't seem to move) but it remains inactive.  What am I doing wrong?

Try the ` key to turn off/on the dmd.

Nope, that didn't work. I ended up using the 'apron view' and then the manual camera scroll up a bit. Apparently there is no way to save the camera view :-(
