Bing it On! ....lol
« on: February 27, 2013, 03:03:54 pm »
My company's PCs all have MSN as homepage.
This bing challenge thing popped up and I had started IE to search for something anyway, so I played along.
(searches obscured because they were work related....believe it or not)

Either one of these search engines would be vastly improved if they filtered out useless crap content farms like ehow.
I guess that's where the ads sold by google are getting placed though.  :-\

For the past week or so I've had issues with bing.  It's unresponsive to the point of where it often times out on searches.  I use it strictly to scam M$ out of bing rewards points.  Right now I can't even do that.

This

That.

And I'm trying to win a 360. Don't want one bad enough to pay for it, but I'll take a free one.

The only thing I use bing for is...I don't.

i'll search google on bing just to let them know.

Edit:
i just tried...it's broken. it only is re-directing right now to main bing site Also the "learn about the study" link had to be clicked 3 times to get it to go.

3/10 would not search

I just use Bing every day to get Microsoft Points. Takes less than five minutes to get my daily points for the four accounts I'm running. Since April of 2012, I've received well over $300 worth of MSP.

What the hell are all these rewards you get for using Bing? I have a Windows phone, so I use it fairly regularly (because it's tied to a hardware button). Though, even then, I at least as frequently open the browser and go to Google, if for no other reason out of habit.

Anyway, I vaguely want an Xbox 360 (not at all, actually); how do I get one?

You are basically using the points for a contest entry (or ten for more points). So yeah, I'm pretty much just throwing them away.

Google "bing rewards".

"This feature isn't available yet in your country or region."

Guess I'm sticking with google.

You can actually make a modest amount of e-monies with bing.

Aside from all the initial bonus points when you first start out (there are a ton) you can get up to 15 points a day for 30 searches plus a bonus "click here" point, plus any deals or bonuses of that day (double point weeks are not uncommon).

Anyway If I remember correctly 5 dollar amazon.com gift cards are something like 475 points.  Well 16x30 days = 480 points.  So yeah, you can earn at least 5 "dollars" either in amazon gift cards or xbox points per month.

There are bots to do the searching for you as well.

It's nice if you've ordered something and it's just a tad higher than you wanted to pay or ect....  You've got a cache of gift cards at your disposal.
