thanks for the link mate but i just ordered it from t-molding.com it adjusts shipping after you checkout so came to $7 :)

i re-cut my CP so that the buttons were closer together also cut my plexi and put my artwork on ,i made a frame out of scrap wood laid my plexi in it then my CP on top ,took the drill bit out of my hole saw and went for it came out really good, but I'm going to take some more plexi down to where i got my glass cut (as one edge is a little jagged from me sawing it) and get them to cut 2 pieces out(1 as a spare)
19 days left!!

I like it but those buttons are super bright.  Not sure if that's because of the pictures or if they are that way overall.  Either way good build!

Well I have never seen a PC with a power button on a separate card like that. Usually there are separate pins going to the MB, and you can just splice in any momentary switch to that. If those wires connect to the MB, you could take a knife or a screwdriver and try bridging different pins to see which two are the power. Usually its labled though. The other thing you can do is make a switch at the powersupply itself. Most powersupplys you can rig to always power on by shorting the green to one of the black wires. I did this for my 60in1 as I always seem to have PC power supplies laying around. Just make sure the pin outs are correct as some PC manufactures use a different colored wire other than green.

Thanks,They are a bit bright I think I'm going to fit a switch to turn them on/off
And when I've got some more time make some custom illuminated buttons that aren't as bright

I'd say its the perfect height for him. He's just tall enough now and wont be too tall for a while

Wow! Hadn't seen your build. Very cool!

I'm about to build a mini pacman myself. How high is yours?

Cheers!

Thanks mate
It's 120cm at the highest point, this way you can get both the sides out of 1 sheet of mdf
Good luck with your build

If you want the full measurements I'll get them for you,I'd say it's the perfect size,I can still play it comfortably sitting on a stool and I'm 6'2"

Bringing this thread back from the dead!
Cabs been working fine these last 4 years, until 2 weeks ago
Hard drive failure I think? Well tried everything but got it up and running again then it crashed again, try's everything wasted about 40hrs in total
So now I'm using my laptop
Got everything on there
But got a problem I'm using a mini pac encoder nothing has been changed but when I plug it in button number 5(1p coin) is stuck on??? Even after disconnecting coin door micro switch and hidden credit button micro switch it's still doing it???
Any ideas? Of what else to try
Cheers

  • I want to build my own arcade controls!
Nice lil mini cab! I am a fan of these builds. In regards to one button staying on... are you sure you don't have a short somewhere? Granted its probably a USB thing (which I am clueless about), but in any other cab I would look for a short... That would be my first guess.
