Cabinet number 2, lowboyish from scratch.
« on: January 04, 2013, 05:18:31 pm »
Started this during the summer and work got nuts and didn't have time to work on it. I've been working on it with my little cousin to teach him how to work with hand tools. Modeled it after a Gauntlet cabinet to have a fullsized like experience but a bit smaller form factor to make it easier to fit in the house. It will be about 26" wide by 30" deep and 66" tall. 24" wega tv and powered by an xbox using coin ops 5. Should get some more work done in the next couple of days finishing in 2 weeks or so.

Looks good so far!
I have seen several people doing the low boys, I may have to try my luck sometime in the future.
Good luck with your project and the quality time with your cousin.
I will be following this thread.

Good start, are you going with the speakers in marquee like the Gauntlet cabinet?

Yeah i was thinking of putting the speakers in the marquee. Cab is painted, will post pics when dry. Most of the parts are ordered. Waiting on ordering the plexi for the tv until after i figure out  a few things.
