K4600 has vertical collapse after 3-5 minutes.
« on: December 15, 2012, 09:24:50 pm »
A friend of mine brought his frogger over to fix the problem in the title. I'm thinking it is a cold solder joint, but I am no expert by any measure. Can anyone point me at a trouble shooting guide or give an idea where to start? I'm thinking to reflow the headers for the yellow and green wires, but I really don't know what else to do (other than a complete visual inspection). Any help is appreciated.

That's a very common problem on the 4600 series. Glad you found it and got it fixed. :)
