Centipede controlpanel art needed
« on: October 25, 2003, 06:43:27 am »
To make my trackball-panel (swappable panels in my cab) I still need a highres graphic of the Centipede-controlpanel.
Unfortunately I'm not skilled in vectorising stuff (at least not yet), maybe someone has already done this, or some highres graphics?

As my panel is slightly bigger, I can't use the reproduction-art they sell.

If you can find a decent pic of the original control panel I will vectorize it for you.

UPDATE: I found a good pic.  Give me a few days.  I'm also working on Centipede sideart.  That will take a while longer though...

Hey that's great, thanx a lot!
Unfortunately I wasn't able to scan my reproduction sideart of Centipede - I wanted to but there was a protectionpaper on it that is needed during installation. Otherwise I would've done that.

Actually, you might want to e-mail phoenixarcade.com about this if you want a real overlay.  I recently bought one of their repros for a future project -- which BTW is really nice -- for $24 when he had some on eBay on clearance recently.. maybe he has some more?

I would, but I can't.

Okay well Carsten the first thing I'm going to do is make a control panel that is the original size of the original cabinet.  Then I will make some custom adjustments to accomodate your CP size.  PM me so you can give me some dimensions of your CP and stuff.

I could use a copy of that myself. PM me if you need any pictures of a real CP.

Jakobud how did this turn out?  Anyone have suggestions for attaching an overlay light this?  Centipede cabs have metal control panels with a full wrap on them.  What is the best way to print and attach something like this?
