Atomic Arcade in Salt Lake City...
« on: July 16, 2012, 03:54:08 pm »
I'd been dreading an upcoming work trip to SLC... until I ran across this story.  Place looks completely awesome, specializing in 80's games, owned and run by a collector:

Anybody been there?

Make sure and ask if they sell beer or soda.

It's Utah Jim... Their beer is soda.

Jesus, just bring your own.

Anyways, another place to add to my list of places to go or something. I found this interesting: Today, we chat with owner Chris Wright about his...thoughts on gaming today.

What's special about this? Well, it just occured to me that when I was a kid in the 70s, a 'gamer' was someone who played board games or more oftenly Dungeons and Dragons. People just played video games. And that's how I still think of it. There's.....gamers.....and then there's people who play video games. Like me.

What about back during the Olympics when they had "Polygamy BeerTM:  One is never enough!  I thought that was hilarious.  Not bashing though
