New here and had a software question
« on: June 22, 2012, 11:31:40 pm »
I love old arcade games of all kinds.  One of my favorite games is Dragon's Lair 1 & 2. I have heard time and time again that MAME cannot run old LD games, but Daphne can. Is there a way to boot MAME with Daphne support or even DUAL boot them and make the Daphne list accessible via MAME?

you can use a front end and have mame for some games and the other one for the other games, its easy to do with hypperspin.

I saw hyperspin but I didn't like the "multi-system" feel of it.  It seemed too much like an emulator and not an arcade cabinet with lots of games.  Now if there is a different FE for it that can give it a look that removes the list of systems and just boots them using the proper emulator right off of a list, I'd be ALL for it.

MALA can do that. Head over to the MALA section and there is a very large thread about doing exactly that.
