Well we all have to go sometime.

RIP Mr. Clark.
If I had only one wish, it would be for three more wishes.

And the worst comment goes to:

DH
I hate to say it but now I can finally watch the end of the new year's show without feeling sad for him.

RIP Dick Clark, you always seemed to be a classy, real good guy.

Now I am wondering what new years will be without him. I hope they give the reigns to someone who can at least somewhat fill his shoes. Ryan Seacrest doesn't quite cut it in my opinion.

I thought Seacrest was a lock, they all but confirmed it live at the 2011 drop.  For what it's worth I too had a hard time watching Dick slur and struggle though the drop but I admired him for sticking with it.  The man was pure class.

they are unfillable shoes. Like trying to replace Carson on the Tonight Show.
If you're replying to a troll you are part of the problem.
I also need to follow this advice. Ignore or report, don't reply.

I saw him in action running the American Music Awards years ago.  He balanced incredible charisma with absolute command of everything going on around him.  Really, I've never met anyone else with that large of a personality.  It was impressive.  That said, I buried my cat of 17 years yesterday and miss him more than I'll ever miss Dick Clark.

I know, but you could put people in that make it the program still worth watching. I think someone like Shatner wouldn't be bad; the guy can be classy when he wants to. The most channels usually only have crap like justin bieber anyway.

I'm sick of the count down to begin with. If any stations would instead of counting down, just have Michael Winslow make sound effects to the ball dropping. I would eagerly watch that program every year.  ;D
