Motherboard Drivers
« on: March 27, 2012, 10:23:43 pm »
I'd like to update the drivers on my motherboard, but I'm not sure which ones I need to download.  I select my particular motherboard on the ASUS website (F1A75-M) and it gives me a list of downloads. Under the VGA heading, it lists 3 different driver versions. which one(s) do I download?

Thanks!

Are you sure the multiple drivers aren't for different operating systems?

It sounds to me like there are three versions of integrated graphics chips on that particular board.  There really isn't anyway we can help you.  You are going to have to physically inspect the MB and see what kind of chip in on it.

Have you tried running CPU-ID?  Perhaps it will list some information on the hardware for that mobo.

I did end up looking up those drivers, and from what I could tell there are only 2 types of drivers.  The third one looks like an older version of the first one.

Everest should tell you what chipset and video card you should have on your motherboard.  Or if it's up and running, go to device manager and see what card you currently have.

Whenever I come across Asus laptops or mainboards I always check for a modded compatible driver.

I had one with a Nvidia 8400, what was completely crap from ASUS, but a kind soul told me of Xtremesystems.org and I was able to get most games working, where stock drivers didn't.
If I had only one wish, it would be for three more wishes.

Asus usually lists a few versions of the same driver by date. The one on the top is the newest one.
