The three pieces of art all have great features, but as far as them working together - I don't see it (get it)
I really love the side art - I would have loved to see the blue taken into the marquee as the crimsons look a little dark. The CP seems a little flat compared to the others. [\2cents]
My art is always free for you to download and modify as you see fit...
Why?... because I could never find any art I loved on the net. So I played around with Photoshop and wish to share it with the arcade community.

Yeah, i started with the CP and i like that alone, but then after i did the marquee and the side, the cp no longer fits.  I think i have to find a scene to drop on there to jazz it up.

I'll see if i can figure out how to color shift the marquee to bring out the blues.

I love that you have the Daphne emulator up in the cab shot.  :applaud:

The side art is awesome.  Love it.  The text in the marquee seems awfully small.  I'd make the text bigger and more toward the center.  And maybe experiment with some small characters in the graveyard.  The CP well needs something more if it's going to fit with the side art.

HA! Daphne being there was a complete fluke (hyperspin spinning through the menu), I'll claim that i did it intentionally though :)  I'm glad you pointed it out

Shaggy and Velma are in the graveyard with flashlights on the left side.  My 3 year old was able to identify them, i was impressed.  I'm working on making the Scooby Doo Text on the Marquee using the same color scheme that the Crystal Cove sign does on the side... purples and blues.  Perhaps I'll scale it up as well.

I have another graveyard shot that i could use on the CP, but i think i have to think that one through.  I'm trying to make it all fit and not be too busy at the same time.

I know that I may have talked you somewhat into the current CP art but I'm backing away from it now that I see your awesome sideart.  I would lift the Crystal Caverns text and reuse it or a modified version that looks like it on your marquee.  As for the CP maybe get the whole mystery machine on there, any images of the mystery machine chugging headlong down the highway with some creepyness in the background?

Oh for your situational awareness if you google image search "scooby doo art" you run across some very awkward NSFW fan art.  Because of your build I'm now scarred for life... and have a Velma fetish.  Thanks a lot.

little revamp on the marquee.  I don't know what's going on with the color here, but they shifted when i uploaded to flicker.  The color palette should be the same as the the control panel and all of the purples from the side art.  But this gives you an idea.

I'm all for that new CP, great looking man.  Really ties the theme together.  Maybe play around with some slate grey really faded button outlines or halos. Color shift on the marquee looks good as well.

And that Velma art, somebody spent some time on that stuff, that's all I'm sayin.

I think you have  theme down, I would look at pulling more purple from the side panel art. so that carry's across the whole cabinet.

You are now on my personal poop list yaksplat.

I had the misfortune of having my four year old looking over my shoulder as I browsed your thread.

"What's that daddy?"

"That's someone's arcade machine..."

"Video games?"

"Yep, video games. Like your DSi."

"Scooby Doo video games?"

"Uh... yeah... I suppose so...."

"Yay! DADDY IS MAKING A SCOOBY DOO GAME! MOMMY! MOMMY! DADDY IS MAKIN......" as he runs around the corner.

I reckon it 'almost' there. I think increasing the marquee font to taking most of the real-estate would be better. The control panel has the spooky theme scape so I think it's not needed to be the focal point on the marquee. Ya wanna see Scooby doo logo!

I like the new version of your CP.  It does tie together with the side and marquee.

That side-art in-particular is awesome.

You are now on my personal poop list yaksplat.

I'm proud to be a member

My one concern on my CP art is that the resolution of the characters is quite low.  Take a look at this: http://www.flickr.com/photos/yaksplat/6968627031/#sizes/o/in/photostream/ And that still has to be scaled up another 33% to be acutal size.  I'm thinking that i may have to redraw the characters, so that I have them in a high res format.  Not something that i was looking forward to doing.
