My northcoast customs..er custom bartop

I recently built a bartop for my office and figured I'd post it up here.
I used the kit from North Coast Customs.
I ordered the the panels blank, and made a few changes to it.
I put a soundbar where the marque should have been.
I also added some graphics i found online and a 1/2" plexigrass panel, to survive the beating that "track and field" puts on the cab.
It also has a usb port in the front and an ethernet port in the back for adding games, configs, etc.
I went with 4 buttons and a spinner . I used maximus arcade as the front end.
The stick is a sanwa JLF, buttons seimitsu, and the spinner is a BYOA token topped turbotwist 2.

Looks good.  If you're a masochist you should get an adhesive vinyl marque affixed then punch out all the holes in the speaker grill so you don't have to be marquee-less.  Has productivity slowed to a crawl at the office yet?

Did they supply the T-Molding?  It looks too wide!

They did supply the T-molding, and it was too wide, so I trimmed the edges to make it fit. It looked like crap so I replaced it with new molding and just left it. Their panels are too narrow for standard 3/4 inch molding. I plan on doing another cabinet soon and I will cut the panels myself. It'll be cheaper, and I can make sure they are the correct width.

Measure the MDF and get some proper stuff, it isn't expensive.  http://www.t-molding.com/ has 9/16", I've seen 5/8" around as well.

Dude that was an amazing idea  . I ordered same bartop kit but never thought of ordering all blank panels. I wish I had did that. I ordered a blank control panel. Awesome idea by putting soundbar up top. I crammed my speakers into the bottom cutouts and used triangle pushbuttons as quarters.... I am kicking myself right now

Thanks. I had to do the cp twice (drill slip). I think it was like $18 for the new one (with the cams). You could redo it. (and the front) That's what's nice about the design, you could change out the panels as needed.
The hardest part of the speakers was finding one that would fit the space and have the controls in the front.
 
I'm building another one now for a friend. Keeping the same layout but adding a hidden pause button on the top of the cabinet
