Mamewah Help - Buttons not working

I am using mame, mamewah front end, with a keywiz encoder.  I have the encoder set and all the buttons do what I want  them to do (in notepad).  I changed a few settings within the mamewah config and the menu stuff works fine.  

Once in a game though the buttons are all over the place.

Do I have to create a ini file within CTRLR folder?  If so, where is the setting to tell mame to use my ini file?

If it's happening in a game that means it has nothing to do with mamewah. Have you gone into mame's settings and configured your controls?

No havent.... can it only be done in game or is there an ini file i can edit?

Just launch Mame.exe and press the TAB key. From there you can configure the controls globally.
