hi
general hello to all
thing's we should have learned
a=bios is a bit#h if the battery fail's
b=ram is the same
c=swapping video card's in a winxp:e: box is not like swapping them in normal window's >they need :special pointer's:<
d=the onboard lan will work and will respond to your modem
proff is to right click mouse in screen
and tell it to go to :ie:,if it bark's it is not set, this a stranded window's setup
e=the window's set is very reduced,u should know this by the size of the harddrive, again if we want to add most likely we will need to add manual .dll's/oxc's,basic program file's >without< bloating or unit

hi
cvn53
i have found 2005
will load onto a hd tonight
and copy it out so i can find where to point u
as i still think u need to try this :example-here:
load the driver's, but first we repont hercule's by placing it in the window's main .dir, then we repoint our installer
:load to where c:\hercule's:
it should pick up it's .dll's it want's
next we write a .bat
c:\pga_2005\hercules\>name of video card<\where the driver's rest >ie< window's\system32

it is much like that

hi
dirt
good work, that's what i like to hear
i run 90% of my game's less 1 putter side cover for that exact reason u just did
heat,it's a killer for them thing's
card reader's i have a few spare's,the board usally puke's
there  cheap enough at wico or micro specalities about 16.00 usd
if u were in great white north i would just give u 1 exchange
as i repair them all the time

cvn53
thk-u and bear with me
the mobo i was going to use is a hunck of crap so i just through it out
it dose not take 10-time's to resize a disk and load the game
kept comming back no boot disk
and no it was not bios setting's
it would load into ram
then when u rebooted as required
no boot secter found :as if it was loading from the cd again:,so it met a ugly death
all is not lost i have another mobo here ready to lock and load
i am still out as to how i am gonna convice it that i do  have a 6200 vid card
but hey i am game >maybe i will just buy 1<,my main contract would jump for joy if i told him i found a replacement, and need to code it in
bare with me

Hi Ed
I have asked this question before,is there a way to run pga on a LCD monitor to test the game without having the game cabinet? The cabinet is 60 miles away and I would like to be sure it works before I take it back.

hi
cvn53
that is the i/o board is not seening the usb
on the back of the putter
is 2 usb slot's,u could try hooking to 1 of these then go to the :i/o: card where it tie's the game control's in,there will be a spot for the other end of the usb cable,
it will not look like usb but rather a square knotch, that is where the other end of the usb cable goe's,also if u powered the i/o board with the internal power plug
unplug it >the power-plug<,and let the usb do it,now u would note i said to dirt he should be using the pcia usb extenter board, and up-loaded the pdf on it
u can tell if it is working because the green light on the i/o card will come on

spirtfire
i asked and showed u were we need to edit
i just need to do the edit >today<
i will repost,u copy save as .txt, copy your txt and make the new copy calling it vbs, then u rename the main 1 1filename.vbs
and the new 1 filename.vbs
this way hercules will call in our edited 1 and will not see the oringal which we keep for backup in the same .dir

Hi Ed

Thanks green light working, I got it loaded to where u put money in to start a game, because this is where the screen just went blank when actually starting a game when connected to cabinet,so is there a way to start a game using a mouse and keyboard.

hi
cvn53
no need
if u are that far, press test switch.go to control's invoke freeplay,it is there
not sure off the top of my head, but i do think
option's or in coinage
u will find it go slow through all the drop down menu's
once there and set to free play press select
then exit out
it's funny it never barked at u about the card reader?

spitfire
i printed out the file so i can edit better

Hi Ed
I am not in the game cabinet its 60 miles away,I know about the test switch in the cabinet but I need to try and load a course without the cabinet with just the computer and keyboard and mouse.Yes it stalls at no card reader for 10 or 15 secs then continues on,that way I know if the new video card works once we get it pointed to hercules.

hi ed,
after adding the extra fan and leaving the back door off the cabinet i have had no issues except the card reader. do you think both of my card readers are bad or maybe something else. some backround, the game came with a card reader in it and when the game could not see it i bought another that was suppose to be tested working from ebay. im a realist and i know there is a chance that the ebay card reader is dead too. if i plug the card reader into my laptop and goto, control panel, add hardware, what should i be looking for? basicly what would it be named?

hi
dirt
if u hook it to windows xp
the first thing u should c is new hardware found
from there it will want driver's
i believe i posted u on the mfg and model #
in a post on this thread
plug 1 in first if it dose that >found new hard-ware< unplug it
wait, for window's to settle down and or restart window's,some times
window's get's confused,anyway's after reboot try the other 1
if it say's the same thing?, find load driver's,and u should see it in control panel

spitfire

hi
dirt
huh ?
she must have usb2
because usb1 in xp dose not do that call
it say's new hardware found,etc,etc,etc
and a proff in the pudding is to take a usb stick and plug it in
to a usb port,it had better say new hardware, and then a min or less come back with new hardware installed and ready to use

spirtfire
i will be on for the next few evening's
the am's i will be moving equipment around, but as i said i printed out the vbs
so i can do a better edit :)

cvn53
a spare putter power supply will do the job
do u have a connector that will  fit the interface plug to the i/o board ?
if so can u solder wire's ? i truly hope so or u are doing a 60 mile road trip,if
u have a female plug 37pin's i do believe and know how to solder i can walk u through a test head,we olny need a few button's and the track ball, with a common
ground to our pga unit, after we set to free play we olny need
test/start/trackball

hi
spitfire
yes thing's are going good so far mate
u are right to wait for the final script
thk's for pointing that out to me
as vb  can get real ass bitchy real fast
ie 1 typo
and u restart
welcome to my world
hence the reason i printed it out
so i can foot note what can come out what can stay etc..this time around if 1 person dose it,instead of a collictive...it should come out error free
which so far is good
p.s i have pinged u :):)
u just did not know it
no fear's mate i just made sure i could see u
would u do me a fav?
and grab a dlink router,?,u know 1 of then 4 port job's
and hook the pga into it along with your home box <as it serv's> as the dchp host :ip:,from there on the pga we turn on :sharing: of the hard-drive-pga-box-olny,
your home box's do not need to be shared...so again no fear's,and if u want u can firewall them to be sure,we just want the dchp connection to your router..
so u can read into everyone else's pga's >THEY MUST DO THE SAME<,
the script's for 0-9..u can expand if u want
i have left it open ended...
0=ed
can not be changed,DO NOT EVEN TRY...
u may need a few .dll's from microsoft
i will chk into it,..side note here how did the linking go ?
as i have done tunrnnie's with cursing usa..up to 6
u caught me with the 3 :):)

Hi Ed I am directly connected via LAN cable to a dlink 8 port wireless router which inturned is connected to a speedstream 4200 modem. All ip addresses are controlled by the dlink router is this ok?
Please let me know?
Thx Joe
