ok i have had it with dropbox
it wanted 55 min's to up-load a 200k file ? freg that crap
here is a walk through,this will run u straight up to sp3
get any fresh windows xp box by fresh i mean with NO other running program's in it
expect window's xp..not a tall order
next we plug in a usb stick,again not a tall order
next we copy c:\window's\system >complete< name it as such so u do not get confused,
next we copy c:\window's\system32 >complete< name as such
so now u have to file's on your usb stick system and system32
now we plug stick into back of pga machine,
and as per my insturction's on how to bust the pga into window's
we go look for the usb stick it should show up as e:\
open it
copy e:\system to c:\window's\system,same apply's for system32 so c:\window's\system32
remove stick
colse out windows session as per my insturction's..
reboot pga,bing bang boom u are going to get a screen that say's it want's to load in 97 update's,tell it no not at this time,then go to window's update through ie set to ASK and COUSTOM,so u can pick and chose..DO NOT DOWNLOAD IE8 OR U WILL MESS THE PGA UP BUT GOOD,now BEFORE U DO ANY OF THIS COPY YOUR CURRENT PGA.IMG TO A CDROM,so u have it as back-up
now with this in hand u have a box,that once u follow the upper step's will report back to
window's sp3..u are now running all current window's dll's expect a few,that we can add at will,to chk your system bust down to window's as i explained,open control panel,go to system,double click system
your 2002 should be gone and replaced with verision 2010
sp3
your key should not have changed,if it did all is not lost,i can send u market-relm
it is a key changer
if u did the proper step's as i out linded and did not become a hero..u can now fully play with the pga..enjoy
and btw i fuc#king hate dropbox

My card reader is just plugged into a USB point at the back of PC which supply's the 5v it needs to run. Should be a simple plug n play on team challenge machine. I do have a dedicated 4 port USB card on my pc which it plugs into not the motherboard USB points. There is also a card reader test in the actual game settings which u can try to see if that helps.

Same thing with my card reader but I have 2 USB ports toward the top and 2 on the bottom.  I've tried each port.  It doesn't do anything during the card reader test either as I tried that originally.  So I'm hoping that the drivers need to be reinstalled as Ed is suggesting.

Also, I think that the USB loading that Ed has posted above is simply getting a running PGA on XP SP 3 so that when it hooks into the bot or he gives us additional code everything else will be unlocked.  I don't see how this could unlock anything as is.

the fact both card reader's not working in the pga but in normal window's lead's me to believe that the driver's have been kicked out,the 4 port usb board
is for usb 2,this olny allow's to increase the speed of the usb crap
as the mobo's in these box's are all usb1,the 2 make's it that much more robust
but for pga's running 512k ram,it really dose not matter
u would never knotice the lag..unless u are doing speed chk's?,and at that point i would have to say 1.7gig micro and 512k ram..wtf are u thinking?
so in short u CAN ditch the usb2 card and go back to the native usb1
rember the i/o plug's into 1 of the usb1 port's
it can be lopped back into the usb2 port but then again i go why are u strapping driver's into this box u do not require ? myself on the other hand open the resource's of the box up,pull the dial-up modem..dam that is hound
keep the audio board OFF board,free it up even more

then follow what i laid out
1 set of file's at a time

now u have no fear's mate
the dll's will cause no damage as they are all navite window's xp spk3
the olny dif now is when u use your pga to go on line it will be a ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- load easier
+ u can go get hk-patch's
which u cannot do right now
and also u can now kill resource's at will
handy when u want to do edit's and such
plus u can run if need scan's to chk for maleware and such nastie's
which u cannot do with xpe

NOW  it did dawn on me gvr is going to be the file we need to edit the most
i will whip up a walk through and patch for u ppl once mediafile is running right
the reason for this is hercule's and gvr work toghter  hand in hand as it is,
so to put it simple if we kill a cmd in hercule's we need to kill it in gvr
as the system run's on gvr
to prove it

u will see the left hand scroll bar
colse gvr
open gvr
that stand's for gobal vr,
which btw has a stupied set of encoded 3d file's.
so u never get to see the mpeg's etc

yes there is a filter you can enable and disable. If you typed "B 4" (without the space) instead of "before" in your post it gets changed to "bingo!" and "s--t" (the poop expletive) gets changed to "meadow muffin" things like that.

you can go into your profile "look and layout" and set the "leave words uncensored" to on and your post appears normal. (by default it's censored)

sorry it's a little funny seeing people freak out about it getting changed since your posts appear normal to me, and i'm like "wut?!" 

don't worry, it's happened a few times that iv'e seen now. your posts are going through just fine.

I really don't have any idea what this all means. 

I wasn't attacking you, Ed. If this process is so easy why is it so difficult for us to be able to participate?. I know you are volunteering time for this project and we are all appreciative of that but when expectations are set, people (including myself) start to count on those expectations.

Im not trying to come off as rude, impatient, or ungrateful here but online play, character and course unlock, along with the dongle bypass have been sticking points for all of us for months with no real end in sight as far as I can tell. I can't speak for anyone but myself but the reason I keep asking you about these things is simple...because you said you've done it...and we will be able to as well.  When you tell me that its easy, it gets me eager to move forward. I've read this entire thread countless times and the progression stops and switches direction almost every time we are on the cusp of something major.

If you are just stuck for some reason...just say it as Im sure we could all understand.  I'm thinking that buying the damn All Access would be easier at this point (hahaha!),

I've received a lot of help from this forum and I've tried to offer help here and in additional threads in any way that I could. If ultimately we stay at a standstill with PGA then that's OK. I can honestly say that I've made some friends here (especially you) and Im happy for that.  If we get a chance to play each other online, unlock a course/player or two, awesome! I would only ask that you set realistic expectations so that I'm not disappointed at the conclusion of this very long endeavor.

the new s/w can and will like to be run from a usb stick
ie: u plug in the usb stick to the pga, game in q
power-game down/re-power game/break into BIOS-SETUP
FIRST BOOT DEVICE :>OTHER<:/save
if your board is of newer gen?
it will see it then USE USB AS FIRST BOOT DEVICE.
if not u may need to spec it.
IF NOT IT IS A OLDER GEN BOARD ? this is where the code tie up is
I AM TESTING THIS IN THE AM..I WANT THIS SEEMLESS
IE LOCK AND LOAD GO PLAY..

to recap i olny have a few kink's to get over
player's/read-card player's once or not at-all >for info olny<,as the new code will not even look for the reader after first load,ie u load code re-boot,it will seek all out board device's,load into it's ref libary the stuff from let's say card reader
then on second boot it will no longer look for it
it is all in a .lib file

if u need to change the video card
u no longer need to point gvr/hercules

For instance, if someone is running Challenge and not Team Challenge will they need to find a dongle and upgrade to Team Challenge?
