xBox 1- more than one USB "mouse" supported?
« on: September 10, 2011, 11:49:57 am »
I'm trying to get my USB spinner (Griffin Powermate) and Kensington usb trackball to work at the same time but XBMC seems to only recognize one mouse at a time.  I can get one of them + a keyboard working at the same time in XBMC4XBOX but no go on both.
It is a known limitation of the xbox to only have one mouse working at a time or should I continue to troubleshoot the issue?
 :banghead:

Thanks!

No.
If I had only one wish, it would be for three more wishes.

No.

Thanks!

I guess I'll have to make some sort of USB switch so the user can switch between spinner and trackballdepending on the game.  Either that or I'll put the trackball on my tate cab and spinner on horizontal.

Depending on what you have for the track ball and spinner, couldn't you just wire the axis of the spinner to the trackball and have them both operating simultaneously?

Right now I have a Kensington track ball and a griffen Poswermate spinner.  The powermate is great for Tron because you can click it to fire which sort of makes up for the lack of a triggered joystick.  I score about the same on a "real" machine compared to my mame cab.   The trackball pretty suck for everything else, especially Arkanoid.

I just ordered one of these for my other xbox cab: http://www.sparkfun.com/products/10758  which is the same thing as http://www.paradisearcadeshop.com/en/47-ps2-led-trackball.html .  Do you know what I would need to but to add a more authentic spinner to tie into that track ball?

Thanks a bunch!
