I need some help trying to find what would be the best option to go about mounting the fishing controller on the arcade.  This is on a showcase cab with a jamma and dreamcast system running inside.  I would like to have a stationary mount attachment where the controller stays put but is able to move in all directions.  Any ideas?

Mount it with something like this?

It's flexible, but stiff. You'll have to mod the end of the controller to mate with the connector somehow, though.

Or make a whole in the middle of your CP and use a rubber gasket:

what about one of those spring loaded security tethers, like what they have the cell phones and store demos displayed on??
sometimes they have brackets an stands and whatnot you could mount to the middle of the panel.

it would have enough spring to zip your controller back into place, but not enough to inhibit play.

Something like this, but on an angle

Not sure how you'd make it flexible...I seem to remember the arcade game having a little give to it.

This is just my opinion but I think what you have there is better than the typical arcade fishing controller.  They have to static mount them in the arcades so that nobody will steal them.  Personally I would make a holster for it like you would a lightgun and be done with it.

Or you could just get a mic clip for it lol. Then it could be locked on or removed.

That is actually a brilliant idea. You just need one of those "universal" mic holders with the clip and it would work great.

Screw that to the top of the flexible connector and mount it to the panel.

Nah those universal ones have such a weak spring on them. I was thinking more of a really tight one like one for a 57/58. Maybe even an 81 - I dunno really how big the handle on a wii rod is. But you want it tight for that arcade experience of having something mounted to the cab - assuming I read correctly and that's what he is going for.
