Mamewah and Bluetooth
« on: August 07, 2011, 12:59:44 pm »
I'm trying to setup my wiimote to work as a lightgun, and possibly steering wheel. I got the wiimote setup and connected with bluesoleil. I got WiinRemote to work as a mouse.

I then started up mamewah to see if it would magically work perfectly the first time around with no luck. The problem was once I started mamewah it was acting like the up key was constantly being pressed. I wasn't pressing any buttons or moving my joysticks or anything, my only option was to restart.

I discovered that the problem occurs whenever I turn the bluetooth on.

Any suggestions? I'm running Bluesoleil 6.something? with an old Motorola adapter.

Edit: I think I have discovered the root of the problem. Windows is considering the wiimote to be joystick #1 and therefore the controller for mamewah. I guess I need to somehow disable the joystick features of the wiimote so I can just use it like a mouse. Also, in mame it's a similar issue and it does not recognize the wiimote as a mouse.

Have you tried disabling the joystick in Mamewah? Go to Mamewah/config and open Mamewah.cfg go to
Code: [Select]
### SETTINGS ###

# 0 or 1 (off / on)
keyboard 1
mouse 0
joystick 1

and set joystick to 0
Code: [Select]
joystick 0
