Hi All!
I purchased a 25" WG K7193 from a guy who was cleaning out his basement. I was told the monitor worked when it was put into storage, but since the guy has cleaned out his collection I had no way of knowing if the monitor actually worked. I took a chance and bought it and when I finally got it wired to my cab, I got a collapsed vertical line in the middle of the screen.
I don't know a whole lot about troubleshooting, but what I could dig up leads me to the IC. I just want to make sure I hooked up my monitor to my mame cab correctly. I hooked the monitor through the Jamma harness....which was tricky as my j-pac bit the dust a while ago. So I used a jamma i/o board(USB2GUN) from an America's Army that had vga input (connected to my pc) and the jamma monitor connector was a 6-pin connector (R*G*B*gr*space*sync) The K7193 had what looked to be a 9-pin pinout (R*G*B*gr*+V*+H*gap*gr*-V*-H). I just plugged my jamma monitor wiring connector to the monitor without using the last 3 pins on the right (gr*-V*-H).
Did I connect the monitor to the PC correctly? Or... was I responsible for the vertical collapse?
