horizontal games on vertical screen
« on: July 28, 2011, 06:21:42 pm »
hello, im needing some opinions from more knowledgable individuals than I. I have an 25" LCD monitor setup for vertical play. I know, CRT is the only way to go for a true arcader, but i got this cheap. The vertical setup looked to flow better with my cabinet design, but I want to play shooter games with and lcd compatible gun (ultimarcs aimtrak system.) does anyone out there play horizontal shooters on a vertical screen? My question is how do they look? is the image streched, cutoff or are there black bars on the top and bottom of the screen? I love shooters and want this to be compatable, but if not, I guess i have a reason to build another arcade:) thanks to everyone for your time and assisstance.

PS. i ask this because i have yet to test. I am still in the building phase

as far as I know, as long as you pick one of the native supported resolution, there should not be any stretch.
