Blur (controls?)
« on: July 27, 2011, 01:35:57 am »
This game requires player one to use the keyboard, and the three others to use an xbox 360 gamepad.  Or just all four players use the xbox 360 gamepad.

Seeing as how the keyboard controls cannot be remapped, I had the idea of using PPJoy to emulate four controllers, and then another program such as x360ce to fake Blur into thinking the four emulated controllers were four xbox360 controllers.

However, I can't even get past the part of mapping the controls to emulated controllers in PPJoy... Anyone have an idea on how to make this happen?

Thanks in advance for your help.

EDIT:  As I was looking into the Street Fighter 4 thread, I may be able just to use the keyboard fix provided in there except putting the files into the Blur directory.  Will let you know how it goes!

EDIT2:  It works!  Watch out Mario Kart 64, there's a new 4 player racing game on the arcade cabinet!    I hope this helps out anyone else that decides to try and put the game on their cabinet -- it's a blast!

EDIT3:  Looks like I jumped the gun on this one.  It works, but because of the key assignments AND the keyboard, other players buttons destroy the first player.  Basically, Blur thinks the first player is using the keyboard AND gamepad, when all I care about is the gamepad.  (ie If player 2 pushes the accelerate button, it causes player 1 to turn left.  If player 3 fires their weapon, it causes player 1 to also fire his)

Anyway to block out the keyboard in Blur?  Thanks again.
