If not, let me know what dimensions you need, and I'll resize it and send you a .jpg you can play with.

Wow thanks yotsuya! :notworthy: Ive been trying to research the issue, and thought I had it figured out. You can rename an AI file to a pdf, and I did try that, and tried to open with Inkscape once again, but it had the same issue. The pdf opens wonderful in Acrobat, and does scale. The colors are right, but as soon as I try to open it in Inkscape, the colors look all cruddy (as posted earlier). I tried opening some other pdf's , and  jpg's and everything I could find.. everything opened with correct colors and looked 100% like they were intended. I think what this particular image is trying to tell me is... "HEY  :censored: ". LOL.  Ill read around today and see if I can get anything else out of it.. if not.. I may take you up on your offer, and measure my panel again, to get the right dimensions, and let you know, so you can send the jpg. I really appreciate that offer!  Ill let you know shortly. :)

Ok.. I finally got a copy of AI. The image comes up fine.. and Ive learned how to size/scale it.. now I just need to figure out how to add button templates and stuff. Ill watch some tutorials tonight and see if I can learn it myself, but if anyone has any tips.. id love to hear them.  And on another note.. Ive been reading around about what would be the best way to get the component input out of my pc, and into the TV/monitor. I know I will have to purchase a cable.. so that's no big deal. The thing is.. the pc I am using has an Nvidia card..and Ive read about them not pushing the composite out through the DVI, or VGA for some reason..(maybe I read wrong.. I'm not sure). So im going to ask.. What is the best way to hook up my TV/monitor with an Nvidia card?  DVI to Component, or VGA to Component?  Also.. would this involve buying a converter box? They run like 60- 300$, and If I don't need one.. I don't want one.  Also.. my controls from GGG are on the way!  :applaud:

Well, what kind of nvidia card is it? maybe it already does component out like mine does. That's how I have mine hooked up and it works great.

Yeah I guess that would be helpful huh? lol...  its an Nvidia GeForce 6200 LE.  When you say you have it hooked that way.. what is "that way"?  DVI to Component or VGA?

I have mine hooked up through a component dongle that shipped with the card. kinda takes the thinking out of the equation. I just looked up your card, and the quick and dirty option is to just use s-video, which your card supports, but I would go for the DVI to component if i were you.

Yeah that's what Im doing for now..just using the S- Video.  I think what we have concluded is, I need one of these..

http://sewelldirect.com/dvivideoadapter.asp

The only issue with that is.. Im not sure if it will work, being as I have an Nvidia product. IE:

"This adapter is designed with an ATI chipset and works with graphics cards that output TV compatible (sync-on-green) signals. Please check with your graphics card manufacturer to see if this product is compatible with your computer."

I guess Ill have to contact Nvidia and see what they say.. UGH..  :(  I don't see why it would be an issue.. but .. Im just learning about these things.. it may be something that I have yet to understand.

I can't see why ati's cards would output anything different than an nvida card would. I see no reason this adapter wouldn't work, but it doesn't hurt to do a bit of research as well.

...and if you contact Nvidia and they don't know for a fact they'll probably just say no it doesn't to cover their asses.

I quickly did some research, and yes, they do say it will NOT work with an nvidia card, you are better off prolly just picking up an older card with component out capabilities. Are you running AGP or PCI-e?

Sorry for the long wait in between posts.. been catching up some work.

Its a PCI-e. I really didn't want to have to get a new card.. but if it means better quality.. I guess ill have to start looking out for one. Its a shame I cant figure out a way to get the RGB out of the DVI on the card. I think its probably possible.. but Ive not found a way.

On another note... my controls arrived!  I have a couple new questions .. first, I'm looking at routers.. I don't have one..I'm going to get one.. was wanting some advice on what would be more suitable.. Ive narrowed it down to a couple.

or this one..

Ill just be using it for the standard arcade stuff mostly.. slot cutting, sinking my joysticks/trackball to be flush, rounding edges..etc.

My other question is.. on my Opti-Wiz that came with my EI Trackball.. it requires a 5v input..  my question is.. if im understanding everything correctly.. the GP Wiz40 MAX that I ordered has a 5v output.. could I just power my Opti-Wiz from that?

Of those two I'd favor the skil router. Two hands driving will keep it steadier. I can't see how to plunge or adjust depth with the Bosch  ???

Ok great ill get that one.   Any ideas on powering the Opti-Pac from the 5v out on the GPWiz40 Max?  If I don't get any input here I can just email Randy I guess.. no biggie. Just hate to bother the guy.

This thread has been long overdue for some pictures and updates. I took quite a few pics and are readying them for upload tonight.
I decided to get the Skil router, and am very happy I did. The control panel is done (besides maybe some plexiglass after its all finished).  The only think left to do, is get some speakers installed, and then order a new marquee. Guess thats about all I can say until I get my pics loaded on here tonight. Looking forward to showing what ive been doing the past year!  :)

Ok I am back with pictures!!   Keep in mind when viewing.. I don't have a ton of wood experience. With that being said.. im learning alot. I don't have anyone to help with any aspect of this build. Its all been done by myself. Its been a learning experience for sure. But well worthwhile..

Here we go.. Ill explain along the way..

Just an across the board shot..

A shot of the coin lights I recently got running..

Interior shot ... yeah they are pretty bright.

Here is what the LED clusters look like. They are 12v.

Here is a pic of the notch I had to cut out from the control panel.. otherwise.. it just wouldnt have looked right.

Another across the board shot.

The next 3 pics are of the control panel wiring. I apologize for the mess.. im going to be using zipties with mounts to clean this up soon.

This one looks like the GP Wiz USB is sitting pretty close to the keywiz.. but I promise there is plenty of room.. its just the angle of the shot.

Here is how I turn my monitor/tv on and off for the moment, until I figure a better way. For now I just have to slide my finger up there. ehh.. man that didnt sound right. ..  lol.

A final image for this post.. with the original marquee.

Well there you go!  Thats how she looks currently.. ill be adding more pics as I continue to build. Ill probably have some questions soon. Ive been trying to get Hyperspin running.  I have everything set correctly.. but for some reason its only giving me a black screen when I go to launch a game. If I could get that figured out.. id really be cookin.   Anyway.. hope everyone enjoyed the updates!  Shoot some feedback if you would like. I can take it  :P

Whoohooo!  Ive figured out my issue on Hyperspin with Mame. Turns out.. my mame.ini file was set to non fullscreen .. and windowed mode.  So I went in there and switched a couple 0's to 1's and now everything is great. Its always the little things right?  Also.. I learned to use ClrMamepro pretty well. I still feel like im learning with it though.. I did manage to rebuild my romset. I did it with a tutorial. Also.. today I went ahead and purchased some speakers to put on my pc.. so I can use my old pc speakers to put in the cabinet. The ones that I purchased are the same ones I have for my pc now. Klipsch THX 2.1   They sound great for movies and games... I figured why not?  So ill be getting those installed in the next day or so. Ill update with pics when I do.
