FINISHED (remodeled Beach Head 2000)
« on: March 22, 2011, 04:17:04 am »
I started this project quite a while ago but had to set it aside so I could work on some other projects. I'm hoping to complete it within the next few days.

Beach Head 2000 cab with custom artwork, x-arcade trackball, ipac controller interface.  The blue button is the x-arcade "cheat" button. Lower red buttons are left, center, and right mouse buttons. Dell GX260 got a memory upgrade and another on/off (push) button hardwired into it. 4.5" car speakers were wired into a cheap set of USB-powered PC speakers. The monitor is a 21" Trinitron. I have installed Mala, MUGEN, and a few older console emulators...gotta have Atari 2600's "Adventure" on everything I make!

Today I finished this project by hooking up the speakers and wiring up the coin mechs.

I have to ask, what did you do with that huge monitor?

It imploded after a toolbox did a high-flying ninja attack. A rare set of Porsche headlight lenses and a DeWalt impact gun also lost their lives in the assault.

To avoid secret ninja attacks like that, I store my tools all over the house and yard.
