I could not figure out the ending.

What was around the kids neck at the end?

Did the girl use Flynn's organic matter for the transfer, that is why Flynn is still stuck in the PC.

Where was Dillinger?

A flash drive containing something copied from the computer that the grid was on.  I don't think they made it clear whether it was the grid, the information from his father's disc, or something else.  I'm assuming it was the grid.

That's interesting.  Hadn't considered that.  Put's Sam Flynn hooking up with her in a different light.....
I thought it was just that he couldn't get out in time because he had to keep CLU busy.

They went over that before introducing his son, but I don't remember now.  Pretty sure he'd died.  I like how they didn't just make a rehash of the old one as Son of Flynn vs Son of Dillinger

When sam is told about the identity disk when he is getting suited up, the speech is word for work what Sark had said in the original.

"If you lose your disc or fail to follow commands, you will be subject to immediate de-resolution."

Six tickets + food = $90

Hearing my daughter say "that's Donkey Kong" during the arcade scene = priceless

Took my mom and the five in my family to see Tron yesterday.  Everyone loved it which very much surprised me.  I had set my expectations pretty low.  They loved it so much we came home and watched the first one together as a family-- no laptops, gameboys or books either.  It was a really great way to spend New Years.

My daughter did that too!

I have to admit to more than a little buyer's remorse during the credits.  But it ended up being well worth it just for the family experience.

I took my son to see it today along with my dad and thought it was pretty good.  Funny, I remember watching the original Tron as a kid with my dad and now taking my son to go see Tron legacy with all three of us there was a cool experience in itself.

I liked the soundtrack by Daft Punk and agree that it fit the mood of the film really well.

One thing I would have liked to see is Sam drive the retro light cycle more than he did.  He really just drove it into the city then gave it away.  I was kinda disappointed at that.

Overall I really did enjoy the film and would go for seeing it again.

That's what we did.  We watched the original and then went to see the new one an hour later.  I wouldn't call it required but it will help a lot.

We were going to watch the original first but ended up not having time over the holidays.  There were a few "easter eggs" in Legacy that I would have caught had I seen the first one more recently.  I think in hindsight my kids got more out of seeing them in reverse order.  They really wanted to see the first one after seeing the second.

That was how we took it.  That was one of the easter eggs I did not get until I re-watched the first film.

I just came back from seeing this. God I was bored. Besides being full of cliches, it was a combination of The Matrix, Resident Evil, (recent) Star Trek....and other stupid things. The only time I got excited was when he went into Flynn's. Talk about an arcade museum.

Those bits are found items.  Here are mine.  :)

I also have Sam's necklace.  Don't think the chip itself was lit, but here is a pic with me holding a LED behind it:

The Tron Lebowski

I just saw it last night with NetFlix.

It's a decent movie, but I couldn't stop thinking about The Tron Lebowski.

Jeff Bridges' character is such a Zen hippy in Tron, that it seems like The Tron Lebowski was making fun of his character in Tron Legacy instead of just a funny combination of the two movies.

Hehe, that Tronbowski probably would probably have made for a much better movie.
There was actually some humanity, personality, and actual acting in it...

(I dont blame Jeff. Hes a good actor... but he had nothin to work with, and was surrounded with no talent nobodies, and poor writing)
