Halooween excitement!
« on: October 21, 2010, 12:19:28 pm »
Ok so this year I am forgoing my huge halloween party - last year we had 60 or so people, and I proposed to my fiance in front of them [good thing she said yes, or I'd look like a tool in front of that crowd!]. Actually I sang that Love Games song by Old Gregg if you're familiar with it, I recorded a voiceless backing track in my studio and funked it up in the middle of the party. The crowd pushed her into the "middle" of the circle and made her dance to it, and while we were both there I proposed to her [after taking off my alien facehugger, of course]. It was an awesome night.

This year I'm not so in the mood for a big party - just gonna have 6 or 8 people over and drink and laugh and hand out halloween candy. Sounds like my average Saturday night [though halloween is on a sunday]. I started talking to a friend of mine about my recent switch from robot smoke to human smoke in UMK3. He said he sucks at MK but would tool me in Street Fighter.

IT'S ON

I told him to swing by after he takes his kids trick or treating, and to make it a fair fight I'll be half cut. I'm really excited about this. Usually when I play fighter games with friends, it's as if I put it on two player and beat it with nobody behind the controls. Sometimes I let them win, but that's just weak. It's been a long time since I had a challenge.

I know what you mean.  I love playing my arcade with friends, but since they don't play as much as I do, I just tool around with them without much of a challenge.
I let my wife win occasionally, but letting her win is almost worse than putting it on her  :censored:.

In a month or so I'm hosting a 2v2 NBA Jam/NFL blitz tourny where I'm having the partners are random...hopefully to even out the competition.  Should be fun.

Anyway, your haloween plans sound awesome!  I'm going to a costume party, but I'd much rather be playing the arcade with friends.

Have fun!
