I know this has been here before but I could not find the link.  Makes driving cabs look small.

They should put another one on the other side of the yard.
That would look super sweeet.
A computer in each, with video conferencing. Some mounted laser pointers, for some sweet night time effects (fog generator of course).

How would you get something like that past a condo association?
Mucal invader, is there no end to your oozing?!

You could wire a monitor and controls into something like that. It may not move, but it would be the coolest thing ever for mech games!

AH CRAP !!!  NOT ANOTHER PROJECT !!!!! ::)

You talk about your cockpit style cab.

Now, I think I'll put together an F16 fighter design on one side of the yard with a Mig on the other side and play some F16/Mig head to head..... COOL !!!!!

i'd be willing to bet that project wouldn't go too far... i'd think that if someone saw what looks like an f16 in your backyard you'd get a visit from the local p.d.

He must live in the sticks, I couldn't imagine applying for a building permit for that thing. You want to build what in your backyard? As cool as it is in pictures, if my neighbor started putting up one of those things I'd be pretty pissed off. Thank god for a homeowners association. You know in like 2 or 3 more years it will be a rotting hunk of crap in his backyard.

The funny thing is I think that link is so old, it could very well be at least 2 or 3 years old :)

I think it's cool if you have kids - personally I think all that bright neon jungle and swing crap looks bad in a nicely manicured lawn anyways - but when kids are involved all that is out the window. If you need to have something, why not have a 15 foot tall mech?  At least it's screened by trees...

My only complaint is that isn't isn't functional  >:(

Says the guy who's handle is based on a wrestler that was in his prime 20 years ago.  And even then he came out to the ring in yellow underwear.  Silly hulkster, real wrestlers wear pants!

Hey it's nothing personal towards hulkster.  Just look at the board we are in.  I don't think ANY of us have the right to call anyone else outside of this hobby a dork.  Grown men spending hundrededs of bucks just to play pacman isn't exactly the essence of cool.

Speak for yourself! The girls come to the frat house to watch me bend over in my jeans to work inside the machine.  ;) (In my dreams...)

Actually, that's not too far from the truth...  :)
