Hey there guys, it's been a long time since I have posted a new project. I have been hit with requests lately from friends to build jukeboxes for them. They are paying for the parts. I have been thinking about using bendy MDF for the projects, but I am not sure how well I will be able to cut and bevel the location for the monitor and bezel. Anybody out there done something like this. I am including pics so you guys can get the general idea of what I am doing. The monitor for one of the units will be a Mitsubishi DiamondCrystal 19 inch and the other two will be 17 inch Mitsubishi's. I really love these monitors (absolutely stunning color and resolution). They have become very cheap here in Japan because everybody is going to the wide screens. The OS will be Tiny XP and I will be using an older version of freebox touch screen software. The touch screen kits are pretty cheap. This is something that I am very happy about. Finally, I was able to get my hands on four of the New Shuttle SX35-704's barebones for about 100 US dollars a piece. It helps that one of these jukes will go to my friend who provided the Shuttle's so cheaply. I have memory and hdds out the wazoo from previous projects so this will not be an issue.

I really kind of wanted to go 1930's Art Deco, so I did a little research and came across a Ronson Touch Tip Lighter from the early 30's that I really liked (minus the politically incorrect bartender of course) (PIC INCLUDED) and tried to model the Juke accordingly.
Other than cutting and beveling the spaces for the marquee and the monitor/touch panel (monitors will be de-cased to cut down on size), I had a couple more questions.
1) I seem to recall someone doing a few hundred coats of black hi-gloss paint to get his unit very very shiny. I would love a little info on how to be able to do this.
2) I also want to have chrome like art deco accents as see on both the Ronson Touch Tip Lighter and my sketch-up model. On my sketch-up model they appear segmented (my sketch-up skill are not up to par yet so I could not make them solid pieces). I don't want the pieces segmented. Any help or hints on cutting, buffing and polishing aluminium to get that chrome like finish would be greatly appreciated. Anyway guys sorry for the long post. Let the comments, gripes, constructive criticism and fashion tips commence.
