+1

Perhaps select the hardest game(s) to select as a group, and have him pick one?  Of course, you'll have to come to an agreement quickly.

Baltimore vs. Pittsburgh possibly?  New England vs. Miami?  Those seem like particularly tough picks in my eyes.

Wait, what are the rules?  Guess I should learn to read.  Usually when I play suicide pools it's pick a winner and you can never use the same team twice.  If I'm out I'm out and if you want me to pick 2 or 3 games this week I can do that too.   :-[

hoopz is running it, but I think picking 2 is fine. because if you win, theres 4 teams you cant use next week. I made a mistake last year with the losing team (I picked the right winner but typed ST.Lous Cardinal instead of Rams) and had to pick 2 games, so I think its quite fair.

So I can't take the Jets, eh?  But the best strategy is to take whoever is playing the Bills!  So if I am understanding the rules correctly, I picked NE over BUF last week so those are the only 2 teams I can't use this week?

OK, here goes:

Green Bay over Detroit
New Orleans over Carolina

and I'll even throw in a

San Diego over Arizona

I will take all three picks and that's what we will use.  Good luck with three games.

I appreciate your willingness to do this javeryh and everyone's willingness to not get their panties in a bunch.  I'll update everyone's picks when I get time.

AND EVERYONE QUIT USING A DARK COLOR ON A DARK FONT!   :dizzy:  I try and read those and it always looks like you're picking the Rams to win.   >:D

that means you can't pick any of those 6 teams to win or lose next week. So thats like 12 games you cant pick from (unless they play each other) and next week and next week is the first week of byes, just take the first two and we'll call it square.  No one picked the baltimore pittsburgh game

And that surprises you?  I only suggested it as a penance-type pick for javeryh if others agreed.  Though picking three is a good way to earn your keep.

Good luck to all, especially javeryh.

yeah - next week will be the real challenge but I'm willing to go with three games.

P.S.  Next week will not be a challenge because I'll go with IND over KC.   ;D

Week 5 updated.  Sorry for the lack of an update earlier but I've been busier than expected.

Down to 3!  (SD on the road this year has been awful!)

That's the only sensible pick this week.  I'm not allowed to pick New Orleans over Cleveland so I'll go with:

BALTIMORE over Buffalo

If you both keep your picks at Baltimore (said with a Scarface accent!) over the Bills, do I need to even update the games picked? If you both win, you pick again next week. If you both lose, you pick again next week.

I think next week we'll sort out the men from the boys

Who are you gonna pick

 :soapbox:

Jacksonville at Dallas ? Should be a cakewalk for Dallas but Dallas is playing really badly this season

Buffalo at KC -- nope can't choose that one

Houston at Indy ? Houston beat Indy in Houston but can they do it on the road?

Green Bay at Jets ? Jets --- this will probably be my pick next week but still....?

JaveryH ... any thoughts on next week?

Jacksonville at Dallas ? Should be a cakewalk for Dallas but Dallas is playing really badly this season

Buffalo at KC -- nope can't choose that one

Houston at Indy ? Houston beat Indy in Houston but can they do it on the road?

Green Bay at Jets ? Jets --- this will probably be my pick next week but still....?

JaveryH ... any thoughts on next week?
I'll share my thoughts but since I lost in week 1, take them with a grain of salt....   :hissy

KC at home would be a good one.  Bills are terrible.  I bet we could get 11 guys from the boards here to suit up and beat those punch of turds.

I think next week we'll sort out the men from the boys

Who are you gonna pick

yeah - it's also why I got in trouble for my original strategy of picking whoever is playing the Bills!  Next week looks tough.  The only sane picks are probably Dallas (which is actually insane sine they are 1-4) and Tennessee.  All of the games look pretty even!

Updated for weeks 6 and 7.  You guys got lucky that Baltimore came back.  Then again, since you both had them to win it didn't matter that much.

I like Malenko's suggestion that if you both pick the same team to win, you have to pick a 2nd game to be the tie breaker if your first choice loses.  Thoughts on that?

I'll pick any amount of games although I have a feeling we will be making different picks this week.  The match-ups are tough and Dallas isn't a lock to win now that Romo is out.
