Mounting joystick CP
« on: August 31, 2010, 09:08:50 am »
I started working on my CP but I don't know what is the best way/tools to mount the joysticks under the panel. How can I cut into the MDF to mount them under the CP?

Also, I wanted to paint the MDF instead of going for plexi. How can I accomplish this when I have a Sanwa Ball Top Joystick JLW-TM-8 to mount, that from what I read has to be mounted on top? The other two are Happ Competition Joysticks.

Either way, here's a photo of the CP:

Thank you for the help!

Thanks.

Finished it. Now paint. :D

I do feel that I don't have enough space for the U-Trak trackball...  ???

Finished! Still missing the Spinner and trackball though. :)

The painting looks like crap.

Don't be so hard on yourself!  I know how tough it is to get that "mirror finish" we're all looking for.  It looks pretty damn good to me.

Thanks! Next time I think I'm going the laminated MDF route. Don't need to paint that :)
