Got this payphone off craigslist today.  Set up for home use already, I didn't have to do anything but plug it in!   



Best part was the price.  $65...  it's going in my gameroom.

That is pretty sweet.  Looks like it is in good condition as well.  Does the coin mech work at all or do you get dial tone just by lifting the receiver? 

Reminds me of that old Brady Bunch episode where Mike made everyone use a payphone.

Coin mech doesn't do anything, you just lift the receiver.  The ringer works, too.

Yup.  Now I just have to wire my house so that I can get my Vonage signal though the phone jacks, and I'll be set.  I found a couple of tutorials online, seems pretty straightforward.   

I hooked up directly to the Vonage box to test, and had my wife call the home phone, it works perfect...  the ringer is still there, and the sound is nice and clear.

Yeah, once you get rid of all the telephone sanitizers, its all downhill.
