CLRMame Help/Renaming tools and Corrupt mame files?

Ok I am lost
I got mame .137full and rollback.137..  ROllback to .71.   However many games when I launch say cant find rom blah blah blah.  Is there a program to help? (wish i still had my old sets to avoid this)

I used romlist and checked PLAYABLE but still games do not work? Can someone help me list all my roms that are 100% working? I need help big time.  Any links or tutorials would be great.

Also GOOD rom sets, how do I have my front end (mamewah) NOT show the extra crap on the names of the roms??

Ok just to clarify...

THe rom sets are in good naming scheme and they show up with the extra stuff on the end.

ie_ NHL (U)[!]    I want to show as NHL only without the codes.

I have searched and some say use Goodgen, I tried it but all it did was verify my roms....

Mamewah used to have a hide option the last time I used it.. not it does not?  Can anyone help, this is very annoying.  I would need a walkthroug or link as I am struggling.

Also in MAME is there a program to scan my roms and check which ones will work with my computer?? I am using romlister which helps but I still find some that do not run.. its annoying!

Do not rename your roms! Not worth the trouble. I have a program lying around here somewhere that makes a list that Mamewah can use that strips all the extra info from them. I'll look for it and post it.
