Getting scanlines in Mame
« on: March 31, 2010, 04:37:08 pm »
I understand that Mame has changed the way you get the scanlines effect in the newest versions. I tried to research this and I got so far with it. I have basically downloaded the .png files from Mr.Do's arcade page and put them into my Mame/Artwork folder. But when I go into mame.cfg and select "effect nameoffile" nothing happens.

Are there any other prerequisites in mame.cfg that have to be set before these effects can take place? Sorry if this is detailed elsewhere but I can't seem to Google it.  :dunno

Use MAMEUI to set your effect. Look at the mameui.ini for the syntax.
