That connector is not in use when installed in a DK cab. Here are some pics of the cables and where they are connected. The one you don't see is the video cable, that one has to be connected with the video pcb (the second board in the board set).

It is also written down very well in the DK manual (see the schematics) which you can find for instance here: http://pdf.textfiles.com/manuals/ARCADE/A-J/

The cable on P7 goes to the monitor chassis. You can see it in the next picture:

what is that little PCB on the metal shield for? I din't have that in my setup, as you can see here:

On my setup the P7 cable does go to the monitor chassis.

Is that extra PCB perhaps a video inverter to invert the RGB signals? I would be interesting to know which make and model your monitor is.

I don't have a black/white wire. but may be this helps you:

Connector 10 (two wires merged into one brown wire as you can see on the photo) >

Goes to >

And the red and white wires in the next photo >

Go via a cable connector >

to the speaker >

The Audio sounds good all I'm working on is just the black edging around the monitor cardboard and paint =]

Yes, that's an inverter board for use with standard games.
His model looks like a typical 20EZ. Some came with it, some didn't.
But you also need the single red power wire in order to use it for standard games.
In a Nintendo game like yours/his it's actually just bypassing that board and more or less going straight to the chassis in the same fashion as yours is without the board.
Non-Invert Out = Nintendo / Invert Out = Standard game

Long story short - Donkey Kong does not use the inverter board.
Not a technician . . . . just a DIY'er.
