I've put Hemi on notice that any further confrontations/disruptive behavior that he initiates will result in his removal from the forum. In kind, I would appreciate it if he wasn't baited so that he feels the need to defend himself.

Where's the big arrow pointing at me?

Nowhere.

Why?

Because 10 of us have this guy on ignore.

I never bait him, I just tend to be punchier around him.

Pretend you never met me from this point on and treat any posts as you would of any new member that you have no problem with. No preconceived notions and giving the posted the benefit of the doubt.

I'm in no way innocent here and Saint is not defending me, he is just leveling the field as it seems to be a bit steep at this time and the forum is suffering because of it. In other words, don't bait me and I won't bother you.

I didn't ask him to do this if that's what you meant.

I did my share of nastiness, but it did get to a point where I would just post in threads and catch hell for nothing at times and that needed to stop.

Lets just move on.

I fail to see what there is to be jealous about. This not exactly the best circumstances to get your name mentioned and just the fact than my name is in a thread started by Saint means absolutely nothing other than the fact that he is concerned about his forum and this members.

Indeed. No apology means no understanding of the situation.

To be honest, your attitude in this thread doesn't really show that you realize you did something wrong. You sound more like a kid who's upset that he got send to his room. Instead of realizing that he never should have acted in the way that got him sent to his room in the first place.

One last thing.

Remember this from shmoke's "My cab" thread?

I don't mean to be rude, but I think that you're full of ---Cleveland steamer---

That seems like a comment I would have gotten banned for, but I guess you've been here too long for the rules to apply to you. I actually don't mind this sort of talk since we are all adults, but I have to expect that when I say something somewhat questionable for it to be overlooked as well.

No matter how he wants to sugar coat it by saying "he doesn't want to be rude" that doesn't make it any less rude or any more appropriate.

This was within 5 posts of me being here and I said had a grand total of five words at that point. If anyone set the example of how to act here, it was most of you. All I wanted was the same rules to apply to me and that never happened.

The full quote was:

If you know how to talk to people properly and they have a saw and something to measure with, then yes.

I don't mean to be rude, but I think that you're full of ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- and have never done this.  I mean, I'm sure it's possible if you're at a Home Depot in a small town and happen to be talking to someone who actually knows what he's doing (I suspect that the average Home Depot employee is no better at cutting squares than I am), you might be able to talk your way into something like this.  But I think 99% of the time, no matter how smooth or sweet you are, you are not going to get someone to cut out all your panels for you all perfectly square-like.

Maybe I'm just cynical . . .

So he doesn't just plain say that you were full of ---steaming pile of meadow muffin---, but that you were most likely lying about being able to make home depot employees do your bidding.

Seriously, you haven't learned a thing. You really need to understand that it's not just a single word, but the whole content of the posts.

This is where you started to really piss people off.

A list of the 15 most valuable arcade games in existence

I'm not pleased with that list, those games may be the hardest to find because they are so old, but I think a few are not the best games to play. In this list should be a mix of good games and hard to find games in the same game.

What is the point in having a bad rare game if you won't use it. Just my take on this.

Next time, PM me my opinion and I will copy and paste what you want me to say. Fair enough? I'm not downing the guy, just a few games he picked. There is no need to take it personal.

I don't like the list, what can I tell you.
I know it's supposed to be "most valuable games". But it was a list made by a person, just like me or just like you. I could have made a list like that and valued games at prices too. I would have had rare expensive games that were ALSO great games to play in my list. He chose his games, fine, not my cup of tea, but fine.

I guess what matters is you would value his list as law because it is posted on a site and I am only here talking about it.

It's that last line there that really set you apart from the rest of us.

And this is how that whole Shmokes argument started, because of this dumb comment you made:

If you seem to have a problem making straight cuts, at least measure it (if you're confident in your measuring) and take the measurements to Lowes or Home Depot and have them cut it all for you. I would imagine they would be able to get it straight for you.

Regardless, Saint still asked that we give him a second chance, so instead of dwelling on how this kid annoyed so many people so quickly, lets honor Saint's wishes and let the past remain in the past.

I would imagine they would be able to get it straight for you. Then I began to tell him, if you want to talk that way to me or others, that's ok, just don't ---smurfette--- when I come at you that way, but of course he and you all still couldn't deal with when I made a perfect example really early in my days here and expected the same treatment I got.

What's wrong with that comment? I gave him some advice since he said he couldn't cut very well. Then he tells me I'm full of ---steaming pile of meadow muffin---!  :dizzy:

I guess that's ok with all of you unless I was the one who said it.

First off, I'm not a kid or a child, or whatever you want to say. Secondly, you're still coming here and disobeying the forum owner by instigating at any chance you get. I'm not being called out on anything, you keep coming here looking to pick fights.

People are going to say things on the forum that you do not like, so what. I don't follow you around and criticise every post you make, and believe me, I could. Forums are to talk about many issues and if you don't like my opinion on things, don't read it or ignore me, but that does not give you the right to play god and tell me what is and isn't ok and think I need to be removed because of it. Some of you, I swear think who the hell you are. Everyone here has the right to tell me exactly what they think of me, but as soon as I say something that has anything to do with you, then I'm a troll or a child, it's just really idiotic how your rules work.

Remarkably, I actually agree with Hemi in the thread where he posted with Shmokes but only to an extent.  It's a fact that you can have someone at HD or Lowes cut your wood for you.  However, I don't think that Shmokes understood what exactly Hemi was telling him.  Regardless, shmokes' reply was borderline.   Like most things, if either would have phrased things differently, this may not have happened.  Shmokes has a fairly positive reputation here while Hemi doesn't.  That certainly didn't work in his favor.

However, Hemi you have come across poorly at times and you have to take responsibility for it.  I pointed out to you in the console thread that you come across with an attitude and that does not sit well with people here.  This really is one of the most helpful, least confrontational forums you can find.  It's not very often that the mods or admin steps in to control people.  I think you are behind the proverbial 8 ball because of whats happened in the past.  Yes, people didn't make it easy for you, myself included.  However, you have refused to listen when people have tried to help you.  It's quite rare that this many users have an issue with one person here.

Yet, Saint and you have come to a resolution here regarding what's happened in the past and where your future here lies (lays? I can't ever remember the proper usage!).  This is a very close knit community in the sense that a lot of people are not only on good terms on the forum but know each other in real life (which Cheffo has trademarked, FYI).  I had a complete stranger come to my house a few years ago to see my cabinet.  We had some beers and had a good time playing.  I had no qualms about having him over as he was a member here.  That's all I knew about him.  I also was the recipient of free cabinet and 33" Mitsubishi monitor by a member here.  It's only natural that when we, as a community, think you've acted poorly to the man in charge, that you are asked if you apologize.  It's up to you and Saint to answer that or not.  If you chose not to, which is your right, understand that people will continue to be cynical as long as you continue to antagonize people regardless of if you were baited or not.

I am more than willing to give you the benefit of the doubt and hope you are a contributing member here for a long time.  I strongly suggest that you take the high road and NOT respond to anyone else as it pertains to this situation.   Unless you say you apologized, which may or may not be our business to know, you clearly won't settle things.  But that's up to you.

I will say that I do find it humorous that you have said at least twice that you are done in a thread, only to post again.   ;D

Damn, I talk too much.   ;D

I'm actually amazed that nobody has given me the FoleyTreatment(tm) for my claim on RealLife(tm) ...

Good post, Hoopz.

I know I said I was not going to respond again, but as you can understand, it's kinda difficult with so many replies and not only the amount of replies, but the nature of them. I would not be doing myself justice if I didn't respond.

However, Hemi you have come across poorly at times and you have to take responsibility for it.

I thought I did, twice.

I'm in no way innocent here

Hemi, I understand you did post it.  I wasn't doubting you so I'm sorry I didn't point that out.  I'll just say that a certain vendor hasn't taken the high road either and it's cost him because he has to respond to someone.  Same thing I tell my kids, you're better off just walking away.  I understand why you don't though.  Your call.

Cheffo, start getting Ebay auctions pulled and I am sure you'll get the biz from people.   :laugh2:

He's stated in the past that he's not going to apologize to Saint because he feels Saint is the one that wronged him.

Regardless, Saint still asked that we give him a second chance, so instead of dwelling on how this kid annoyed so many people so quickly, lets honor Saint's wishes and let the past remain in the past.

If the kid would just apologize (or hey, even better, leave), I'd be less apt to ---fudgesicle--- with him.

Due to my better judgement, I had to post again, but even as I'm posting this, I regret it. Some of these guys just get under my skin too much to let it slide. I know I would get banned before 4 or 5 "career" members, but, I can't let some of these people go with what they say.

@ Ginsu. You forget, I can ---fudgesicle--- with you too, only I'm not the one begging Saint to have YOU banned. Who is the kid now? Asking his daddy to get the bad man out of here. The way I see it, you own me an apology yourself. How about I get that from you or YOU leave?

I guess the author of this thread is not going to backup his words when he created this thread, as these great forum members are doing the exact opposite of his wishes.

I do give Saint credit in that he gave me every chance to get along here and I think most of the last few days I have tried to do that. I also do NOT give Saint credit for giving some of these other members so many chances to insult me and screw me over and leaving me defenseless due to me commenting earns me a ban in all probability.

While we all have our opinions as to what Hemi should do (including Hemi himself), saint asked all of us not to bait Hemi and, in turn, for Hemi not to initiate any more confrontations or other disruptive behaviour. It wasn't entirely unexpected, but it has turned into one big ride on the FailBoat(tm).

I have my own, rather strong, opinion of the situation and what should be done.

BUT, this isn't a democracy ... saint asked and we should comply -- it is his BBQ, after all.

saint trumps Cheffo.
saint trumps Hemi.
saint trumps us all.

Out of respect for saint, I would suggest that *nobody* respond any further in this thread and we see where things go.

End Of Line.

I don't follow you around and criticise every post you make

Nobody did that to you. We tend to read most of the new threads, and when your attitude was questionable, we called you on it. End of story.

And this was as close to an apology as I'll get, because you haven't learned your lesson and haven't earned an apology:

Be cool from this point on, and you can expect the same on my end.

(Ignore removed)

I'm done bringing up stuff from the past, and I'll try to be more civil in the future. I just ask that you read your posts before you finalize them.

The only apology I owe anyone at this point is Saint.

Though I was never baiting Hemi, only pointing out his shortcomings, I apologize for not just shutting up and ignoring him all together.

Remarkably, I actually agree with Hemi in the thread where he posted with Shmokes but only to an extent.  It's a fact that you can have someone at HD or Lowes cut your wood for you.

You cannot, however, get them to cut anything with more than one cut, and they won't guarantee that the cut is even within a couple inches of what you asked for other than to say it won't be short.  All they do is rough cut wood to within a pretty high margin of error.  Add to that the fact that I've never been able to get anything cut there without spending a half hour trying to find someone to do it.
