FS/FT: HP Compaq Evo P4 2.4Ghz, 1GB DDR, 40GB HD
« on: October 03, 2007, 07:49:57 pm »
I got a couple of theses:

Here are the specs:

Intel P4 2.4Ghz 512/533

1GB DDR RAM 266MHz CL2.5

40GB Maxtor Diamond Max Plus 8 ATA 133 HD

Integrated and add on 3Com 10/100Mbps NICs

All the drivers you need right here:

Nice little unit. 13 x 14.5 x 4
Small and compact, easy 'no tools' disassembly.
(I can get the MoBo out in less than 10 seconds without any tools!)

Would be awesome for a bartop or candy cab.

They were working fine, I blanked out the drives so they are ready for your choice of operating system.

Kind of heavy though, about 18-20 lbs
Shipping may get costly.  :-\

NO CD-ROM drive but I have some nice new black Toshiba/Samsung 52x drives I can throw in for a few bucks more.

Let me know if there is any interest.

*Added info*
There is a 1.5 AGP slot on the motherboard and 2 cream colored PCI slots on a riser board. It can accommodate 2 full height PCI cards. It also has a built in speaker system and USB 2.0 ports, 2 in the front & 2 in the back.

Asking price is $100 + Shipping, but I'm flexible.
Located in the 53222 zipcode

Thanks for all the response!

All units purchased have been shipped out via UPS ground and you guys should be receiving them very soon.

Still plenty left. And a few have the Windows XP stickers on them.
I'll take $200 + S&H for one with an XP license sticker.
(Will also include a basic XP (SP2 + 84 updates) image on the hard drive with updated drivers from HP installed)

*Extra BONUS*
I found a couple old cd-rom drives, white (or beige) colored bezels, and will include one  FREE to the each of the next three people to purchase at least one of these Evo computers.

wow, good price. This is tempting, as I could piece out my current P3  and buy it.

How many do you have?  I don't need/want one with the XP sticker.

Do you know if this comp would for sure be compatible with an AGP Arcade VGA?  I've been trying to get my PC running for my box for ages now and can't seem to get it up and running.  I think the motherboard I bought for the AGP slot is dead or something.

If this would for sure work I'd get one just to be done with it! hah

Wish I could jump in on this.  But I just spent nearly $100 on wood working stuff.  How many of these do you have?  I might be able to take one off your hands in the next month or so if you still have some.

I wish I knew more about the hardware specs for you gearheads out there.
The AGP slot is brown, looks like it would accomodate a low profile card with no problems and it says 1.5V next to it on the motherboard.

Kajoq As for Arcade VGA compatibility,  :dunno
You could send me the card and I'd be willing to try it for you.
Would be a lot less postage to find out.
Otherwise check your BIOS to see if the AGP has been disabled.

Maybe this PDF file will help with specs and details questions:
Code: [Select]
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/UCR/SupportManual/TPM_292401-001_rev1_us/TPM_292401-001_rev1_us.pdf
The AGP slot is J40 on the map, it also lists a couple of optional nVidea cards.
Maybe you can compare them?

I've got a BFP of these but they are going quick.

*anotha bumpa*

All of the CPU's without XP license stickers are gone.
I actually still have a couple more, but they are promised out and if anyone bails, I'll re-post them right away.

I've got a last chance Halloween offer on the ones with the XP licenses before I dump them all.

Same price, $200 each, but now...
I'll setup the hard drive with Windows XP PRO (SP2) and all available microsoft critical updates, windows defender, media player 11 and all the latest hardware drivers from HP. I'll even activate the thing for you so it'll be ready to go right out of the box.

This will hopefully get some of the computer novices out there who are unsure if they can set the thing up correctly to consider one. And offer a huge time saving to the pros who know just how much work it is. Not to mention all the downloading of the 90+ critical updates from Microsoft's website, after installing Service Pack 2.

You'll save hours (possible days) of time installing and setting things up alone!

This offer will be good until the end of the month. (October)

*Bump*

I've got 6 more of these that were on hold for a guy from another site. He sent me a small payment to hold them for him and is no longer responding to e-mails.  I'll give him till the end of the month to respond before I offer them up for sale again. I've got no problem refunding his payment even though I've been holding it (and these PC's) for over a month now.

Any one here interested in 1 or all of them?

whats the total shipped to 21921 with a CD or DVD drive? I dont need XP on it, but I wont be mad if it is, I just dont wanna pay extra for it when I can either use this extra serial number to reinstall XP or even break down and put a *nix distro or something on it
If you're replying to a troll you are part of the problem.
I also need to follow this advice. Ignore or report, don't reply.

$100, with empty hard drive. (no O/S) $50 more with XP pro setup and license.
UPS ground shipping typically costs $15-20. (3-5 days)
I'll throw in a brand new black face cd-rom drive for $5
Let me know if you want keyboards/mice, etc got some of them left too.

Be advised, I'll be kind of scarce around here until after the holidays,
so don't freak if I take some time getting back to anyone.
