My First cabinet
« on: September 07, 2006, 04:23:17 pm »
After looking on here for a few months the time has come me for me to take the plunge and begin construction.
Deciding to do this was a great excuse for stocking up on tools and even building a workshop in the garden that doubles up for a secure and dry place to keep my bike at night.

I don't intend to create anything to fancy for my first cabinet, although I will try and make it as clean as possible.
The GF has decided on the colour scheme, she's a lover of pink so its going to be a pink theme, we are going with pink T-molding, Fluorescent pink lighting, Black laminated sides along with pink joysticks and buttons if we can get hold of any.

Day 1:
Bought the Wood today, 18mm MDF along with timber for the internal structure.
first off I made my sawboard, whoever came up with this simple idea is a genius.! Perfect cuts everytime so far.

hehe...I got a pink balltop with your name on it buddy. Name your price. They are on ebay all the time. Not the greatest sticks in the world, but cheap.

As a side note, I would make the pink sacrifice for a wife to get the machine made, but for a gf? Unless you all are very serious, I would rethink that one.  :laugh2:
