What tools do I need to properly mount hinges for my cabinet door?

I have included pics.

Thanx for any info!

I've used a drill to install those type of hinges, I was just careful not to go all the way through, a router is probably the way to go though.

If you are willing to spend a little cas$h... go to rocker.com.  They have pocket-hole jigs for such a task.

I'm using the same hinges on my cabinet door - 170 degree full-overlay European hinge. You'll need a 35mm Forstner bit to recess the hinge. I'd poke around on rockler.com as suggested by MYX and RetroACTIVE - you may even be able to find a template.

Oh - and if you're mounting the hinges in MDF, I'd suggest using some additional hardware such as t-nuts for additional strength.

Here's what mine look like - http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=52759.msg540599#msg540599

if you are any good with chisels, that is a cheaper way to go if you don't want to buy a router

I do believe that the person who is able to forego a router for a nice set of chisels would be a god amongst men around these parts :laugh2:
