T-molding.com rocks!
« on: August 04, 2005, 11:18:32 pm »
Just ordered some chrome T-molding to redo my mame machine and I am very happy with their service.  3 days for door to door delivery!  Not a bad price either.  I tried out all of their samples first and then ordered.  If your bored and want to give your machine a new look, order some free samples and try them out....

I went throug them when I re-did both my MAME cabs, and you're right, they do have great service. My only complaint is that they get more slotted router bits in. The've been out of stock for some time now and its next to impossible to buy one out where I live.  ::)

I've used them for international ordering, and was quite surprised at how fast the stuff arrived.  I'll certainly be ordering again for my next project.

Just wanted to chime in with my praises as well, I actually just ordered some more t-molding from them this morning.  I was in vegas last december, and since I was there I bought a bunch of t-molding from happs (since I was there I didn't have to pay shipping).  The difference in quality is pretty big, I really didn't like the stuff from happs at all (it had a weird surface too, not nicely rounded and smooth, but it had like a weird bump goind down the middle).  At any rate, I will only be buying from t-molding.com from now on.

c'mon now...you can't possibly do that...the end result would look like horse puckey.  I ordered the samples for deciding which one I wanted and to see if the molding fit tight enough.  I am into the short cuts, but believe me, you don't want to skimp on the continuous run of t-molding.

I have been using T-mold.com for the past year... There service is fast, their selection is better, they are cheaper on orders after shipping costs are added, they take credit cards and PayPal.

I don't need to say anymore... I know where to buy mine.

I will not use t-mold.com because of your posting that are less than honest.

I agree 100%.   If a company has to get customers by lying to them so they can con customers into buying from them, then that's a company I want nothing to do with.

I'll be sure and tell everybody I know that Greg Stievenart of t-mold.com is a liar and I personally would never do buisness with him

Lol, you've got to admire his chutzpah though. Only two posts and both of them extolling the virtues of T-Mold.com!

If he'd hidden his email address and done a few dummy posts on other subjects he'd probably have got away with it.

They make you pay for shipping?  Wow, doesn't sound like a good place for you to work.  I'm surprised that you can't place your order and carry it home.

A whois lookup shows that he most likely owns t-mold.com.

you don't even need a whois lookup.  Check his email on this site... it goes right to a domain that redirects to t-mold.com.

I posted that info before and suddenly that thread is locked.... gee... wonder why that is.

Funny ... I am planning to place another order for T-molding as my current stash is either allocated (Nintendo white and textured black for Galaga) or not what I want for those cabinets (I have a bunch of smooth black). Was planning to go with t-mold.com this time (just to see, as I have had nothing but great experiences with t-molding.com).

However, the stupid self-promotion shenanigans and deceitful practices of Atomic Punk have changed my mind ... this order will definitely not be going to t-mold.com.

Thanks for the heads-up, PDB! Keep keeping 'em honest.

Cheers.

The funniest part of this whole thing is that we would have welcomed him with open arms if he had just said who he was to start with.  We're at no loss of people here who have businesses in this hobby.

Oscar
Andy
RandyT
Christian

I'm probably missing some too.... If he had just come in and said he was from T-mold.com and let us know what was up at his site, I don't think one person on here would have complained unless it was an all out advertising post.

oh well, I'll be ordering from Tmolding.com from now on.

Cheers.

Think he reports the "sales" to himself on his income tax returns?  I also wonder if the money starts in his left hand and ends in his right, or versa visa.

T-mold.com gets a big thumbs down from me.

T-molding.com will get my business.  they were the original guys anyhow right?  Didn't T-mold.com copy the url?  Someone should look it up to see when the addresses were registered, but based on the full vs. the truncated names... I can make a guess.

thanks to all who've put a heads up on these shenanigans.

originally i'd ordered some samples from molding, but after initially seeing the thread title, thought i'd look at mold to check it out.  but after reading the thread, shot that thought down immediately.

if you're having trouble finding slot cutters, i found mine here.  http://www.cheyennesales.com/catalog/cmtslot.htm  although they charge a bit too much on shipping (8-9 bucks between FL and OH,) nowadays, it's becoming increasingly difficult to find one that doesn't gouge at least somewhat on the shipping.  especially on ebay.  my total was around 31 bucks after all was said and done.  (they discuss a usps option, but it's not a choice in the pulldown menu when checking out.  maybe an email to them would open up that option?)

received the cutter in about 4 days too, so a decent experience, but i'm sure you can find a slightly cheaper vendor if you wish to spend the extra time.
I'll exercise patience when you stop exercising stupidity.
