Looking for a place to find graphics
« on: March 23, 2005, 04:56:03 pm »
I'm very new to the MAME scene but have it all set up and ready to go. I'm now working on the looks of my cabinet and am looking for a website to go to for inspiration/use of graphics for my marquee, control panel and side art. I have talked with a sign store near my house and they drew up something for me to use but it looked very clipartish if you know what I mean. I figured I'd give the design a try to show them what I'm looking for. I'm going for a lightning theme for the whole thing and I'm thinking of Extreme Arcade for the Marquee name. I have a blue translucent trackball and figured that would work well with the lightning motif. Also I'd like ideas on this: I'd like to have a black overlay with lightning graphics emitting from the center where the trackball is on my control panel. Under the overlay, in the MDF, I was thinking of dremmeling down about a 1/4 inch and putting in white diodes so that, when the overlay is installed the lightning will be backlit. Anyone know of a LED strip that might work for that or anything else for that matter? I haven't really put a lot of thought into the implementation just the idea. Thanks for a great forum.
