Another posterity post: Fixed a 32" Funai LCD tv
« on: November 16, 2015, 08:33:03 am »
Tv blacked out and made a high pitch squeeling sound.  Using a thermal camera, I opened the back and plugged in the set and saw that D139 (zener diode) was toasty red so I replaced it and the TV came back to life.  The offending part is a 1N4755A zener diode. cost me $.50 to repair.

In case anyone else has the same issue with this set...
its better to not post and be thought a fool, then to whip out your keyboard and remove all doubt...
