Turns out GameFace is broken in the version I have anyways... how do I roll back a patch?  Is that possible?

Run the installation dics again;
Recovery disc then game discs 1-3
If your goal is to get online, then do not run the all access pass patch disc.

Are you still planning on upgrading to a better computer? If so, you should probably do that before going online too.

I upgraded to 1.5GB of RAM and used a solid state drive and it's running really smooth and boots so fast.

I'll go back through and leave all access pass off.

I ended up leaving the beige case computer that was in there.  1.7GHZ - I upped it to 1.5GB RAM and took the ticking time bomb mechanical drive out and swapped to solid state media.

I have picked up a couple of Golden Tee Fore Cabs and will do the conversion as Tom did in his videos.  Where can I get the side art, top Marquee, and the Center info?
I will post pics later today of the cabs before the conversion.

Increase resolution in the game?
I have noticed in a few Youtubers that their screen looks larger than 800x600 and the corner info is smaller.  I have one cabinet hooked up to a 27" screen that I would like to try this on. How did they do this?  I will double-check the FB group, but so far I have not found the info.  I did see some talk in this forum but not a 'How to".

So after 67 pages of discussion what does everyone feel is the best approach for PGA golf.
1. All Access pass
2. Install Tiger PGA 200x?
3. Team challange online
4. Keep challange with skins and change the players?

Pros and cons for each but what is everyone's preference?

Awesome to see some guys still keeping the PGA arcades alive. I miss this game.

I have been looking for one and found a championship edition.  It seems to be in working condition, has the beige tower still running the original Championship edition and has the disks.

Am I able to upgrade to Team Challenge or would I be better off trying to find a Team Challenge cabinet.

I'm currently upgrading to Team Challenge with the beige PC. I upgraded RAM to 1.5gb, new processor with 2.8ghz, GeForce 7900GS, and swapped in an SSD.

I am still waiting on a couple things, but I'm like $60 all in on beefing this PC to the max for Team Challenge. Should run butter smooth in the end. Probably overkill on my part, but with things so cheap why not.

You’ll find hole 7 at TPC sawgrass and the final hole of Pasatiempo still stutter with the beige DFI even after you’ve maxed out it’s specs. Other than that, it’s pretty good.

You can upgrade to team challenge but that original computer won’t run it very well. You’ll notice lots of lag in gameplay. You can either upgrade the specs in that computer or you can replace the computer with something better.

Post some pics of the cabinet you’ve found.

I am picking it up tomorrow, any tips on transporting it?

I have a trailer I am going to use and planning on transporting it up right but I've got a good 80 miles to get it home

Yeah, just ended up taking the tower out shrink wrapping some moving blankets to it and straping it into a uhaul trailer upright. Really surprised how clean it was relatively no dust in the tower.  Guy I got it from said it was in game room at an office building then his house. I don't think it's been played all that much.

Played a bunch of rounds no issues so far. But the track ball could probably use some lube and a good cleaning.

 I actually remember it being more challenging I've been able to post pretty low scores with relative ease. Is Team Challenge more difficult?

Thanks, thats was it skill level was set to 3.

All games together, its showing less than 2700 games played it its lifetime. I don't think it has ever been wiped.

Set it to difficulty 4 as that’s what the online settings were when Global VR ran tournaments.
Team challenge adds more courses and has a variety of courses that range from pretty easy to very difficult. But I’m sure Championship also has courses ranging in difficulty too

Working through what I need to upgrade from Chamionionsip I to Team challenge.  Do I need a team challenge dongle or will it run with what I have? Any one have CDs for team challenge the would part with?

You need the system restore disc and the 3 game discs for team challenge as well as the TC dongle.

Keep in mind, you’ll notice a slow down in gameplay as your computer was designed with championship edition in mind.
I wrote out the computer upgrades you can do on the team challenge Wikipedia page if you’re interested.

I’m very swamped for time at the moment as I’m moving in a few days but I can help with the stuff required for team challenge.
Just give me a week or two. I really don’t have time at the moment.

My machine now randomly reboots during gameplay. There's no rhyme or reason I can see. I assume it's getting the old BSOD and rebooting but I don't even get the blue screen first.

The time varies and it's inconsistent at best. I'm now planning on pulling components and checking each one individually. Just frustrating.

Kinda sounds like the processor is overheating then shutting down mid-game.

This is EXACTLY what happened to me because the heatsink was not seated properly on one of my machines.  New thermal paste and ensuring the heatsink was seated properly fixed it.
