Hoping someone smarter than me has an easy fix for this -- I’m having an issue with my PGA Tour Team Challenge where the [Turn Left] button will not work. I’ve been troubleshooting for several weeks and cannot fix it,. Here are the details:
My pedestal has both a PC for PGA Tour TC and Silver Strike Bowling 2009, I am switching the controls between them manually (no switcher)
SSB has no issues and all buttons are working, PGA TC was working fine for several months – I swapped out the old JAMMA harness from the arcade that was frayed and cut up with a brand new JAMMA and that’s when I ran into the issue with the Turn Left button for PGA
The pedestal control panel/trackball/buttons are using the Silver Strike panel from the arcade (along with original SSB PC inside the cab)
The PGA Tour is running on a Dell computer -- I have the Nytric card and Jamma to Nytric conversion connected, and this was 100% functional prior to changing the JAMMA (no longer have the original JAMMA)
I followed plans outlined in the Global VR conversion doc linked here:
https://service.globalvr.com/downloads/golf/Team_Challenge/040-0012-03_PGA_Conversion-Team_Chall-web.pdf*I do not have a card reader, coin switch, speaker, or video connected from the system (audio and video come direct from the PC)
The new JAMMA I’m using is this one:
https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07S86558Y/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_0M23RDFVRG46CHHKVY3W?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1JAMMA connections I am using below:
#17 to START
#20 to SHOT TYPE
#21 to FLY OVER
#22 to TURN LEFT
#23 to TURN RIGHT
#28 has the GROUND daisy chain that connects to each button/switch
*Turn Left WORKS on Silver Strike, does not work for PGA*
Silver Strike Wiring Diagram linked here:
https://amusement.itsgames.com/downloads/manuals/SSBC_Manual_1009.pdf*The only difference I can see is that SSB doesn’t use #1 and #2 for GROUND, only #27 and #28?*
Steps I have tried for troubleshooting:
-Swapped the Turn Left microswitch with a known-working switch
-Connected the Turn Left wire to other buttons that are working
-Changed out the JAMMA to Nytric conversion board for a new one
-Changed out the DB37 connector between the conversion board and Nytric with new one
I am thinking there is an issue with the grounding, but I can’t figure it out, any ideas are appreciated!
