Still waiting on my trackball rebuilt kit but I got the lights working up top. The light under the control panel is not working so I have to investigate there and see whats' going on. Is that one anything special? I was even thinking a color changing led strip for under there hmmmm :) But here she is in all her glory so far!

Hi all, I recently picked up a PGA cabinet with all access pass enabled, are there any servers still hosting tournaments or the world tour that I can connect this to?

If so, any tips on how to register the cabinet??

Cheers, Adam

Hi, we just experienced a problem with our Team Challenge, it seems to be a XP Embedded solution and I need the restore CD's / ISO.  Anyone able to assist me with the recovery disc or new install? Here some pictures of our machine.

Hello all.
I have a PGA Tour Team Challenge cabinet I got cheap last year. Was described as complete but not working. I paid £40 for it and put it in my lockup marked as a future project. Well roll on 8 months and that project has started.
On inspection of the PC it would seem that there was no hard drive installed. Everything else seemed in place including the security dongle. Unfortunately it wasn't going much further without a hard drive.
Luckily this week I picked up another PGA pc complete with hard drive, dongle and a full set of recovery and install disks. I couldn't be happier.
Well....about 8 hours of trying to get a working game has failed. I get the pc to boot. I get the game to launch. But when it comes to the dongle it says that it is the incorrect country and won't go any further. I've tried both dongles and both say the same thing.
It says;
Game:PGA
Version 4.0
Region:UK
Both my dongles have a sticker what says PGA Team Challenge -UK. On the other side one says;
H4M1 5.0 EMMMQ 206566
the other;
HASP4 M1 1.5 EMMMQ UE 217678

Anyone know where I'm going wrong or can help me out?

Hi,
New to this forum and just picked up a dead PGA Team Challenge. I have been trying to read up on all the issues. The MB does not post and based on the beeps (three long followed by siren) I decided to order some caps and swap those out as a first step. I was hoping to get some info on what to look for next. I have read that the dell gx240 is a good option but not sure what else I will need to buy and what can be used from my original tower. I have no idea if any of the original stuff is good. So, what setup is recommended and what is overkill. The original tower had a 2.4Ghz with 512 RAM. Any info would be great.
Thanks,
Daniel

Daniel, read back a couple pages - I mentioned that the nytric card is needed out of the current computer and put into whatever computer you go with in the future. I provided pictures.

I like the gx280 with at least 1.5 GB ram and 3.2 ghz P4 cpu or faster.
A geforce 9600GT or 9800GT

Thanks.  I wasn’t sure of what the nytric card was. Is loading the drivers to work with the dell just done in windows? Some of the posts made it seem that it was a more involved process.
Thanks again,
Daniel

After you install the game onto a dell, you’ll receive windows notification on boot up that you’re missing sound driver - install that. Then it says you need ethernet driver. Install that. Then it says video card driver. Install that.

Ok, great. I’m gonna try to resuscitate the original board but I think I’ll go ahead and get the parts on the way to build the gx260/280. I’ll report back. Thanks for the help.

Hi,

I’m trying to resurrect an old TC machine that has the same problem as jt82, were you able to find a fix?

I haven’t heard back from him so I assume the fix worked.

Did you just pick up a PGA of your own? Can you post a pic of the cabinet?

Hi. I haven't tried out the fix yet as I've had a busy weekend. I should be able to try tomorrow sometime.

I wasn't able to attach pictures to the message or add them to the text as there doesn't seem to be a button to do that. I'll post the pictures of my CDs and dongles here.

I have a PGA Tour Golf Challenge machine.  The marquee and restore CDs say PGA Tour Golf Team Challenge, but the dongle and hard drive are the regular PGA Tour Golf Challenge.

Looking to make the machine back into a PGA Tour Golf Team Challenge, but don't have the physical dongle.

EDIT: got the files, thanks.

HI I met Darren if that was msg for me.

I am now having success as the mainboard is a replacement ASROCK one and I now got a 6800 GS AGP, had to get drivers installed which was not fun at all.  The Game with the help of Darren is now installed but stuck as it's looking for the Card Reader which is in another house, inside the cabinet.

It seem's to gone past the dongle part (no complaints about UK / US), confused as I removed the dongle and booted it to Dongle Fail screen before the No Players Card Reader message.  I have the Nytric card but not inside right now and I don't see anything but a power cable that connects to this computer.

So the question is, have I got success? is there a Nyrtic driver needed? I removed the 56kb modem as no PCI socket space.

If I send this back to the other house, will they have problems as they won't have a keyboard and mouse like I do.

The ‘no card reader’ message only appears at each start up and can be bypassed by pressing ‘start’. You don’t need a card reader to play.

The nytric doesn’t need Updated drivers. It just needs power from the PC via 4-pin female molex.
( If the Nytric doesn’t have power, the buttons work but not the trackball )

I just picked up and restored a PGA GOLF Team Challenge with the All Access however I have no hardware dongle. The system comes up and I found a .dng on the system that works with HASPHL2007.exe, however I have to open HASPHL2007 and load the .dng each time I turn the system on. I tried running a command line prompt however it just opens the program too. Does anyone have it setup to automatically load the software dongle? I saw that maybe HASPHL2008 uses command line options to load, however when I try with my .dng is gives me an error and says to email the company. Any help navigating this and setting up my system so it comes up automatically each time is greatly appreciated!

I’m not fully understanding what I is you’ve been doing to get it to work, but;

Replace your motherboard battery. Set the bios clock to the correct time and date.
Follow the instructions for the dongle emulator on YouTube. There is a ‘save state’ option within so you don’t need to do this on every start up.

Hey drummer,

I've replaced the CMOS battery and haven't gotten any errors anymore, however each time the system boots up I get the attached screen. I then have to manually run HASPHL2007 and re-dump the key and restart the program each time. I've set the save state however I still have to run this each time.

I did notice that when I first start HSPHL2007 there is a message under status that says, "HASP/HARDLOCK Emulator service is running. NOT Licensed. Dumper mode." I'm wondering if this is why it doesn't automatically save the License or state? I've attached a screen shot, this is what it looks like each time I start the system however once I load the dump file the License and Licensed Dongle field populate and I can restart the game.

Awesome, thanks for that. I think I'm running into an issue (maybe) that the HASPHL2007 I'm running is not licensed as that's the only difference in what I did and what the video shows. I noticed the FB page is down, is there another way to go about getting the two files the video references, HASPHL2007 and the PGA Team Challenge dump file? Not sure if there's a problem with either of mine so best to start new I guess.

Also, another question if you have time, but I noticed that I have 16 courses loaded on my TC cab but I saw somewhere that 32 were released by the mfg when they stopped supporting it. Do you know where I can get the patch to load all 32 courses?

Thank you again for all your help!

If you have all-access pass, you should have 24 courses.

Some of these extra icons are training mode, driving range and 6-hole compilation courses.

If you don’t have All-Access Pass, your course select screen is the second photo.

Looks like I don't have the all-access, mine looks exactly like the second one. With the company no longer supporting this, do you know how I can get the extra courses? I've checked places like ebay and haven't really found anything other than an older version of software. Also would you happen to know, or have a link, to the HASPHL2007 file and associated dump file?

It's a fun game, I only wish there was a server online so we could all play against each other!

Hey just to let everyone know that I had an issue with the led display on top not working. And then one day the whole game would not load and gave error pci.sys missing or corrupt. Turned out to be a bad stick of ram. Once I removed that stick it fired right up and the led display started working.

I think my post got deleted because I tried to add pictures of all the stuff that came in my cabinet, so I'll post it again minus the pics.
I picked up a team challenge today for $200. I could hear the pc boot up but could not get the back off to see what it was, monitor was not working.
Anyway got it home, and plugged a pc monitor in, game boots fully to team challenge.

It has the black everlast computer, and it is filthy, but works. I was thinking of transferring all the parts over to a better breathing case with bigger fans (less noise), then had an idea.
I did not read all 61 pages of this thread, but I think I did come across someplace that said I could use a dell 780 as a replacement pc? My game came with the recovery disk and 3 installation disks. Could I just pick up a dell 780 and toss an old geforce 7800gt video card in it, and use my disks to install the game? The 780 has sata, my original pc has an ata drive..
Would I be better served upgrading the pc and hardware, or just clone this drive and play it until it dies? can I use ata to sata adapters so I don't have to clone to another ancient ata drive?

Trying to post the images of what came in my cabinet, keep getting a security check error though. Maybe this way will work:
*eta it won't let me post them as attachments here or hosted someplace else. Maybe direct links to the images will work.

not a whole lot of movement in this thread these days, eh?
I imagine most have probably moved on to other games.

does anyone know what the newest hardware you can run this game on would be?
For example, I see that you could use a dell 260 or 280, and even saw it mentioned a few pages back that you could use a dell 780.. does anyone know or has anyone tried a dell 990 or something around that range?
just curious if it will work or not, and if not, why.
any help would be appreciated, thanks.

If you use a Dell, you’ll need to add the sound, ethernet and video card drivers after the game installation is complete.

Make sure to remove the nytric card out of the current computer and add it to your Dell.

Thanks for the reply, adding drivers is no big deal. Do you know if you can use newer dell PC's?
The newest i saw suggested was the 780, which is a C2D precessor. I'm wondering if newer machines will work or if c2d is the newest we can run on.

Also i read you need ide to install the game, but the 780 is sata, so I'm guessing it'll install on that. Just curious if i can use newer than the 780 is all.

I know someone who installed onto a 780 just a couple weeks ago and he confirmed that it’s as easy as running the SRD, game discs then adding the drivers I mentioned before.
He installed directly to an SSD.
