Alright, I am new to this forum, and this topic... So please bare with me.
Next week my neighbor and I will be picking up a PGA Tour Golf cabinet. I believe it's the first version, it has 12 courses. It's not for me, it's for my neighbor, I already have a MAME cabinet that I recently built.
A couple of questions:
1. He will be paying $400 for it. That seems like a great price, am I right?
2. It also comes with an extra computer WITH dongle, software and brand new video card. Could I hook that up in my MAME cabinet and play it?
3. My neighbor would like to use the cabinet to play the PGA Golf, but ALSO have me convert it to play MAME games (with another PC inside for MAME).... Which sounded like it would work... until about 10 minutes ago when I thought to myself "wait, how would I have the trackball and buttons hooked up to TWO PC's at a time?" Is this possible? Am I over thinking it? Any ideas?
I have some more questions... But I will wait for answers to these first.
I guess the biggest dilemma I can think of is having all the arcade controls connected to the PGA Tour PC like it is (by default) AND connect the trackball (and some of the same buttons plus the two joysticks) to the MAME PC at the same time. Ok, I KNOW HOW to do this, just connect both sets of wires at the same time, which will work. But, is there something I would be missing? Any sort of interference?
Any help would be great!
Thanks,
Tim
